Conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt suggests the Republican Party should change the rules ahead of the GOP National Convention so presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump can be replaced.
Its like ignoring stage-four cancer. You cant do it, you gotta go attack it, Hewitt says. And right now the Republican Party is facing the plane is headed towards the mountain after the last 72 hours.
I wanna support the nominee of the party, but I think the party ought to change the nominee. Because were going to get killed with this nominee, he added.

First of all, the "Trump's a racist because he said 'Mexican'" is a fabricated kerfuffle. All the GOPers calling Trump a racist know full-well that the judge was a member of La Raza (and worse).
This is a trumped-up case (no pun intended) so that the establishment can keep screaming that Trump's gotta go. And as always, the media is happy to play a part.
The calls for Trump to change, to moderate, are basically calls for him to surrender in the war of political correctness.
Tell 'em to get over it, Trump.

It’s the Hewitt-Medved test.

This is their plan, to outright steal the nomination. They’ve used this Mexican judge thing to cast Trump as unacceptable to the party.
They’re going to try and defeat us at the convention.

If it's framed properly, voters across the political spectrum will realize that a hillary loss destroys the "in" crowd in both political parties. It gives Sanders supporters the best chance of getting rid of the elitist garbage. They will also come to realize that when Trump wins, the worst scum will be gone from the Republican Party, too. It's a win-win for them and us.
Unless Trump wins, the elitist insider crowd will be even more oblivious to what's best for the country. They'll be out to punish the voters, knowing that they outlasted both outsider assaults on their control.

I’ve been listening to him since he started on the old KFI in LA about 15 years ago.
At that time he was a change form the usual and reminded me a lot of Rush in his outlook and attitude.
Then it dawned on me that he is an establishment elitist whos political philosophy matches up with our about 50% of the time.
Otherwise he’s just a go long - get along RINO.

These talk show hosts sure think a lot of themselves. Most are RINOs in one form or another. All seem okay with throwing the election to Clinton. I’ve tuned them all out.

Hewitt was also a close personal friend of Candy Crowley.
He vouched personally for her fairness and neutrality. Just days before she ambushed Mitt.
