Rubio on Trump Attacking Hispanic Judge: I Warned You Guys This Was Gonna Happen…
Mediaite ^ | 4:38 pm, June 6th, 2016 | Josh Feldman

Marco Rubio said weeks ago he has serious concerns about Donald Trump, but he’s supporting the GOP nominee and he won’t be “taking shots” at who voters chose. But that doesn’t mean he’s stopped swiping at Trump altogether.

In an interview with WFTV, Rubio smacked down Trump’s attacks against a Hispanic judge, saying, “I think it’s wrong. He needs to stop saying it. That man is an American… I don’t think it reflects well on the Republican party.”

But while Rubio still plans on supporting Trump, he’s making it clear that he “warned this is what was gonna happen” if Trump became the GOP nominee.

Rubio said “I didn’t want this to be the choices before us,” but at the same time “I gave my word” to the party.

A good read here:

“The concept of La Raza can be traced to the ideas and writings of Jose Vasconcelos, the Mexican theorist who developed the theory of la raza cosmica (the cosmic or super race) at least partially as a minority reaction to the Nordic notions of racial superiority. Vasconelos developed a systematic theory which argued that climatic and geographic conditions and mixture of Spanish and Indian races created a superior race. The concept of La Raza connotes that the mestizo is a distinct race and not Caucasian, as is technically the case.”

In short, Vasconcelos was not promoting “an inclusive concept,” but rather, the notion of Hispanic racial superiority.”

(snip)

““The final plan for the La Raza movement includes the ethnic cleansing of Americans of European, African, and Asian descent out of ‘Aztlán.’” Norwood also characterized NCLR as “a radical racist group … one of the most anti-American groups in the country, which has permeated U.S. campuses since the 1960s, and continues its push to carve a racist nation out of the American West.”

John Stone, president of the U.S. Freedom Foundation and former chief of staff to Rep. Norwood, similarly maintains that NCLR has ties to a number of separatist Reconquista groups.

In 2007, La Raza’s website stated explicitly that NCLR’s mission is the “empowerment of our gente [people] and the liberation of Aztlán.”

NCLR, however, says it is a “misconception” to believe that it has ever, at any time, endorsed “the notion of a ‘Reconquista’ or ‘Aztlán.’”

Big time. Even kimberly. They’re all rattling off the talking points we’ve been listening to ad nauseum for the past 3 days.

Yes, Rubio gave his word to the party, but that does not you have to sell your soul to the party and support a buffoon.

Speaking of buffoons, GOPers like you expect us to believe that Hispanics will vote for Latinos like Rubio or Cruz just because of their ethnicity, but we're not supposed to believe a Latino judge may have a bias due to his ethnicity-- which, as it turns out, he does, being a member of La Raza.

I watched a ten minute interview that Judge Jeanine did with Trump about this, and I think he handled it well, but for some reason did not mention La Raza, which I felt was a rhetorical blunder...I have been wondering if he has some strategical reason not to mention it yet.

By the way, Ted Cruz just joined in on the bandwagon echoing Rubio. Seeing it mentioned on twitter.

These stupid POSes even spoke Spanish on the debate stage and had surrogates pimping for them about how the Hispanic vote is in play if you put an Hispanic candidate on the ballot, but, noooo, there is no such thing as Latino ethnic bias. F****ing clowns.

And we were warned about Rubio and Newt.

MSNBC is still leading with the Gingrich Inexcusable scroll. Now Sasse has entered the fray with charges of racism.

Rubio and Newt are toast.

This whole event shows the outright hypocrisy and double standard of race in America. This judge clearly has Hispanic/Latino racial alliances just as do members of The Hispanic Caucus, MEChA, LULAC and hundreds of other raced based political and lobbying groups. The fact they they even exist and that many pretend they are innocuous not to mention a federal Judge is a member of any of them shows just how screwed up it is. Whites need a backbone and they need their own explicit representation.

I think he is because all we hear is that the judge is Hispanic. Trump and all others speaking on his behalf need to get it out there the judge is affiliated with LaRaza and state what that organization stands for. Most people have no clue. We, here, are educated and know what LaRaza stands for.

Is Trump having trouble making it clear that it’s the specific affiliations and connections of the curious Curiel that are the difficulty here. It wouldn’t matter if Curiel was a green Martian, he has a conflict of interest in this case. “You’re Hispanic” is something we are supposed to be civically color blind to. “You’re buddies with La Raza and you were born of illegales” isn’t.

Yes, and Trump should be pointing out his specific conflicts of interest (there are many), and not his heritage.

The judge's problem may indeed be linked to his heritage, but Trump is setting himself up for an attack by making that claim without a specific admission from the judge.

It’s amazing how every news outlet I’ve heard presents this story as Trump attacking a judge of Mexican ancestry for no reason other then his ancestry.

That's because Trump said he was biased because he is Mexican. You can't really spin that any other way.

Trump should have said "the judge is a member of organizations that advocate for illegal aliens, and are linked to organizations that are actively protesting against me." Those are verifiable charges.

I don’t understand why his lawyers haven’t yet filed a motion to request the judge to recuse himself. In that way, Trump can lay out all the details showing that the Mexican judge cannot properly handle Trump’s case.

I thought the management cleared out all the uni-party tools such as yourself. Guess they forgot to flush you down the drain.
