WAIT! What happened to the whole “outsider” shtick?...Ted Cruz is a two-faced fraud to the core.

“It’s not that Cruz feels he has anything to apologize for — his outreach will go only so far — but his team does see down-ballot campaigning as offering a mutually beneficial way to reset relationships. They believe other senators would be smart to embrace the help.”

Arrogant, clueless and ineducable is no way to go through life.

“Cruz preps for reelection in 2018 and eyes a 2020 presidential bid......”

Lyin Ted needs to find a different line of work.

I will never vote for this loon nor support anyone that gets contaminated by him.

I read the article recently. The gist is he wants to get re-elected, so will be nice to his fellow Senators. What about Trump? Will he help there?

It’s more likely that Republicans will come to agreement about one issue very easily. That would be their opinion of Ted Cruz.

The SOB Cruz will get a different team of psychologists to analyze the data he buys from data miners and think that’ll fix everything. Unfortunately for him, like almost all the other graduates from Haarvard, he's positive the problem wasn't with him but with the way he packaged himself for the ignorant masses.

Unfortunately for him, most people now realize that's all Ted's been from the start, someone who packaged himself to market himself as something he's not.

It’s a fair bet to question if Cruz can help anyone. It’s unlikely that any competitive candidate will ask for his help.

One reason is that he has failed so spectacularly that his brand has little practical value. A bigger reason is that who in their right mind would want to owe Cruz a political favor, and have him pull them into the abyss that is his credibility?

Cruz will have one hell of a task positioning for re-election. I would not be surprised if he declined to run for his Senate seat to avoid the political damage of losing it.

One of the great things about having a pariah like Cruz in the neighborhood is we can keep campaigning against him forever.

Another good thing about it is we have reliable allies. I'm sure McConnell dislikes him at least as much as anyone in the FR Theater of War.

We might consider a 5+ month hiatus in our war against him, however, and redirect some of that anti- energy toward clinton or Sanders or Biden or Warren...whoever the Democrats run.

There is also Gary Johnson. It's hard to believe he will maintain his 10% popularity if it's real today. Nevertheless, a vote for Johnson is a vote for clinton. We might invite Johnson supporters to help send clinton back to Chicago or Little Rock or Her Rock...wherever it is.

I am starting to think the MSM is doing all in its power to keep Cruz on the front page. He really helps us take our eyes from the goal.

Good for him, if he really does it.

Pulling together at election time is a bare minimum, and I will forget all his faults if he does this with energy.

He is an ineligible Cubanadian and after this campaign I would not ever vote for him for anything.

As Cruz preps for reelection in 2018 and eyes a 2020 presidential bid

Texans may remember in 2018 that their sitting Senator omitted mentioning in 2012 that he was Canadian. What's that old saying about "a lie of omission?"

Rafael won't be eligible for President in 2020, 2024, 2028, 2032, or ever.

I have to confess that I was a Cruz supporter at the beginning of this political season, but no more - ever. He demonstrated a side of himself that I’d rather not see again.

Lyn’ Ted wants to ease things?! Well, first, quit the presidential campaign, not suspend it. Release all delegates, stop scheming vis-a-vis the convention. Second, come clean on your respect for the US Constitution and the reality that you are a Canadian Natural Born Citizen, not an American one. Third, show some transparency on your Cuban, Canadian, and U.S. citizenship. And, fourth, as an elected member of Congress, maybe go back to work, else quit?

Cruz is a liar and a sexual deviant cloaking himself with preacher tones and bible verses. He saw the weakest conservative links wanted to hire a pastoral figure so he played his Daddy’s “reprobate cum holy man” schtick to the political hilt. A political Jimmy Swaggart for the old and fearful who want their GOPe nightlight back so they can go to bed.

The rest of us have work to do.

As a Constitutionalist and small government supporter, I liked when Cruz presented himself the same way. But I wished he could do a better job of speaking to average, non-intellectual voters (such as myself) without sounding condescending. Can’t get the message across if listeners have to de-code it.

As a Christian, however, his preachy holier-than-thou-ness utterly turned me off. That’s when he lost me. Somebody needs to tell this guy, there’s no need to preach to the choir. If he’s walking the walk, Christians will see it. If he’s just talking the talk, everybody will see.
