An investigation into the websites backing the so-called Renegade Party confirms that neoconservative columnist Bill Kristol has been plotting an anti-Trump political party since before a single vote was cast.
Kristols Renegade Party was set up on January 10th nearly a month before the Iowa Caucus.
The move suggests that Kristol (or at least those close to him) had been planning an independent bid all along.

it wouldnt be the new House which would decide the presidency, it would be the current House which serves until Jan. 2017
Your cite does not state that it is the current house. Since the new House comes in VERY early January, I believe the voting members would be the new members, but on a state by state delegation. Some states with even numbers of congressmen may be tied (e.g. 3 Rep./ 3 Dem.).

This is his way of monetizing the Trump phenom.
He and Glen Beck are struggling to find a way to survive in the Trump era because his role will be irrelevant.
Both of them I'm convinced are going to make money supporting Trump's opposition. Beck has already defended the globalists at Facebook.
Kristol is also taking gold doubloons from Golden Sacks to keep the pressure on Trump.
$500 million in negative ads and SuperPacs couldn't stop Trump. So a couple million sent to Kristol is chump change if they can stir up doubt in Trump.
These are strictly the business decisions of faux-conservative traitors.

The biggest turn off about Trump once you get past his democrat values are his supporters.
