Game on. I look forward to debating Donald Trump in California before the June 7 primary.— Bernie Sanders (@BernieSanders) May 26, 2016
That’s fantastical.
Bernie will be out to hurt Trump, any and every way he can and Bernie will have the full support of the best “gotcha” Dem operatives in preparation.
Bernie will in no way attack Hillary.
He will try to start memes and narratives Hillary can build on.
Trump has nothing to gain in this debate except a slight diminuation of Hillary’s stature. He has everything to lose with just a mis-speak.
It’s great drama!
LOL!
Don't you remember why Trump held the Vet charity rally, instead of going to the debate on FOX?
Bernie is an idiot and a pure MARXIST; which is the only thing he ever spouts on about...FREE THIS, FREE THAT, YOU DESERVE FREE STUFF.
HUNH ??????
“Trump just addressed this proposal on the Kimmel show. I dont know if he was serious, but he said he would do it if the revenue from the huge ratings would be donated to charity.”
I watched the show, and it sounded to me like Trump WAS serious, and Bernie instantly jumped on it like a duck on a June bug.
I think the networks will start a bidding war to carry this debate, as it will be the best political theater since TV was invented, with ratings totally through the roof. And best of all, Irrelevant Hillary will be watching on the sidelines, stewing in her own juices as an earlier poster here just said.
As has already been stated, a debate like this would be totally brilliant for Trump on multiple levels: Trump could only come out of this win-win, whereas no matter what happens for Bernie, this will be a MAJOR lose-lose for the Democrats and for Irrelevant Hillary herself, as it would have a shattering impact on the Democrat race. Basically, a debate like this is letting Trump inside the Democrat party to completely blow it up.
The Democrats couldn’t have imagined going up against someone like Trump in their wildest nightmares, and yet here he is and there they are.
Thanks for the post. It finally hit the MSM too:
Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders Agree to Debate

“Hillary, Wasserman Schultz, Harry Reid, and other Democratic scolds will try to block the Trump-Bernie debate somehow. Just watch. Michael Tracey (@mtracey) May 26, 2016”
yeah, but michael, Bernie isn’t really a Democrat, so they essentially have zero leverage over him.
“the audience was quite nice to him!”
yeah, that was astonishing; the audience was totally with Trump all the way. I don’t know if they were especially picked, or if they simply responded to Trump’s plain talking and great humor.
You are 100% on target.
Bernie and networks scrambling to meet Trump’s demands for a debate already paint Trump as the agenda setter.
I knew it was you before i saw the name :)
yeah, apparently that is all he really did in his 20s and 30s before writing dirty articles for 50 a pop.
who did he know to get elected?
Bernie has no help from the big wig Dems.
Hillary will be attacked.
Courage. Trump speaks and “mis-speaks” daily. No problem. He will destroy Bernie and, by proxy, Hillary in any debate.
I have confidence in Trump. He has earned it these last 11 months.
I just tuned into Kimmel’s show to see Donald Trump.
“no network/channel is going to donate a large amount of money to his specified charity”
Are you kidding? The networks will be clawing each others eyes out to get this debate; it’ll have the highest ratings of any political event since television was invented, quite possibly the highest ratings of any TV show ever.
“Bernie and networks scrambling to meet Trumps demands for a debate already paint Trump as the agenda setter.”
Yep. And it just occurred to me it would be really cool if Trump offered to pick up Bernie and his people on Trump’s plane and give them a ride to the debate.
Trump makes the monkey clowns dance for his amusement.
How did he get elected? Well, Vt. is a weird state; has been so for about 100 years, give or take a few. He ran for mayor and then worked his way up the ladder.
