Actual quote from Ed Rollins about the fact that a Trump/Gingrich ticket would have six wives between them: They certainly understand women.
...
Gingrich has a reputation for insinuating himself into campaigns by firing off dozens of e-mails brimming with ideas that range from brilliant to insane. While its a quality that has irritated previous presidential candidates such as John McCain and Mitt Romney, sources say that Trump has come to value the former speakers opinions.
They talk every day, says a source familiar with the relationship, who claims that Gingrich e-mails Trump, campaign chairman Paul Manafort, and campaign manager Corey Lewandowski countless times a day. On Friday, the source says Gingrich sent five messages after lunch, musing on everything from Fox host Megyn Kellys interview with Trump to Trumps recently announced list of potential Supreme Court nominees to ideas for targeting Bernie Sanderss voters

But Trump spent an hour and a half with Corker today.
I don’t care how many wives. Human romantic relationships are difficult and not likely to last forever. That’s just the way it is.
Far as Newt goes, I tend to think of Newt as a RINO, but I’m not really sure.
Some things that I do like about him is that he is incredibly smart, extremely well spoken and articulate, and Glenn beck says he’s a progressive, so that is a major plus in my book.
If Trump did choose Gingrich, I could go with that. Won’t piss me off.
Or Global Warming Czar?
Newt will be 73 next month. I think a younger person should be picked.
I called this out when the first stories promoting Gingrich came up. He wants it baaaaaaaad. Which means under no circumstances should he be allowed to have it. He will be a massive liability and really help Clinton to even out her currently terrible odds.
I think Trump should use Newt as a senior White House advisor. No confirmation or administrative responsibility, just giving good advice. Not a running mate.
A lot of people have said he’d make a good chief of staff which I agree with so long as his ego doesn’t get in the way. Trump will upset people no matter who he picks. That said, I hope he picks wisely. He’s earned the right to make that choice.
Right. Corker is the chairman of the foreign relations committee. He also met with Kissinger but nobody is speculating that Kissinger will be his VP.
Newt knows the ropes, but not much popular appeal. Trump should pick a woman. His biggest negatives are with women. How can they label him a misogynist if he has a woman veep? He should just have Newt as an advisor.
If this is true, Gingrich has just lowered himself in my estimation not that it matters, but I don't think I would be alone.
Gingrich is ultimately a failed official which is probably generally true with all career politicians. Gingrich has been perceptive, clear, and concise as a commentator and advisor. He SHOULD be advising whoever is listening that Trump's chief criteria for VP should be someone who can walk into the WH in eight years and advance what Trump started by dismantling 80% of the mostly unconstitutional $4 trillion central government.
If this is not about the American People and their sovereign states taking back their God-given political freedom by reinstating the Constitution as the Supreme Law of the Land against the feds then this is not about anything - it is a flash in the pan.
I think Secretary of State.
BTW, I see you’re in Britain but have no info on your home page. Love to know more about you!!!
You did a great job editing out the snarkiness. This is a rare instance where I recommend people don’t read the entire article.
He’s lobbying not for VP but for another position.
I agree with you.
“I think Trump should use Newt as a senior White House advisor.”

You mean like Valerie?
.
Mixed feelings on this. If Trump can keep Newt on topic he would make a great VP. If not, Newt could cost Trump the election.
Yep. A Czar Czar.
Trump could do worse, a lot worse.
Neither Corker or Gingrich should be on the ticket. Corker? Seriously? What drugs was Manafort on to even suggest him?
