The Donald poses a threat to one version of America.
The territory once known as “the United States of America” was supposed to have been “fundamentally transformed”, i.e., no longer the “America” of song and story.
Only, there is still a huge institutional memory and a good many people with living recollections, of the America that used to be, and they have gotten a promise that America can be restored to its former glory.

What she meant to say was that Donald Trump poses a danger, NOT to America, but instead to her "rightful turn" in the Oval Office and a threat to the liberal/progressive/Marxist/Leftist/PC policies which have slowly destroyed the greatness of America over the decades.
