Border Patrol Union Chief: Obama’s Policies Are Helping Bankroll Drug Cartels

The president of the National Border Patrol Council testified in the Senate Thursday that the Obama administration’s loose immigration policy is the biggest factor driving illegal immigration into the United States, which in turn helps fund Mexican drug cartels.

“Most illegal immigrants believe that they will either not be caught, or even if they are caught, they will not be deported back to their home country. Most believe that they will simply be issued a Notice to Appear (NTA) and will be released,” Brandon Judd said before the Senate Subcommittee on Immigration and the National Interest. “Candidly, they are not wrong.”

The Border Patrol agent testified how illegal immigration heavily funds Mexican drug cartels.

“Drug cartels control the illegal activity along our border in the same way gangs control illegal activity within our prisons. Nothing moves along the border in the U.S. or Mexico without the cartel’s permission,” Judd said. He added, “for the cartels, illegal alien and narcotic smuggling are two lines of huge business that brings in billions in annual revenue.”

Judd testified for each illegal immigrant that crosses over into the Rio Grande Valley, $5,000 are paid to the Gulf Cartel. .. the total revenue from alien smuggling alone for the Gulf cartel in this sector is nearly over $1.7 billion. The money cartels earn from illegal alien smuggling underwrites their narcotics operations, fuels the violence in Mexico which has killed more than 150,000 people, and is threatening the very viability of Mexico as a democracy.”

While in Venezuela, Jeb cleverly managed to hide the Colombian cartel's drug revenues as oil industry revenues of ‘front’ companies. Texas Commerce Bank was the bank of choice for Latin American drug cartels. It was later discovered to have stashed $7 million in drug profits for the Gulf Cartel of Mexico.

Texas Commerce Bank's Houston skyscraper was sold to the head of the National Commercial Bank of Saudi Arabia, Sheikh Khalid bin Mahfoluz, in 1985. Bin Mahfouz was later identified as a key member of the Saudi Arabia's support network for the 9/11 terrorist attacks against the United States, which is noted in the still-classified 28 pages of the U.S. Senate Intelligence Committee Rep;ort on 9/11 intelligence failures. Bin Mahfouz, who lived in the River Oaks section of Houston near George H.W. Bush, died suddenly in 2009 at the age of 59. Bin Mahfouz, who was also an Irish Citizen, threatened with confiscatory lawsuits any publication that reported his links to 0/11 and his family ties to Osama bin Laden.

I read that book recently, too - quite an eye-opener, wasn’t it? Although I doubt many Freepers who’ve read it were surprised at much, I was about Jeb’s history. Nothing ever surprised me about Poppy - not since 1964.

Yes, read that one months ago. Isn’t it sad that a country like ours has been run by two crime families for decades. And before that by progressives for the last 100 years. Time out only for Reagan’s Morning in America. Boy, do we need another Morning! Hope I live to see it.
