We learned this week that Hizzonor Bill de Blasio has yet another plan to entrench the city in “transgender” warfare and make sure that business owners are made to toe the line on political correctness.
Under this latest scheme, any business which greets someone using a pronoun not matching the gender (or lack thereof) the customer “identifies” as could face a stiff fine in court.

officially out of the loop here. And quite frankly, not sure I want to be in the loop. But which is which? Is a guy masquerading as a girl a "ze" and a girl masquerading as a guy a "hir"? Or do these words pertain to everybody depending on what gender of which species you claim at any given point in time? In which case, as a straight, white male, should I be identifying as a lesbian to gain the honor of being referred to as a ze? Or is that a hir?...

Be careful, liberals! This would have the side effect of banning Spanish, since all nouns in Spanish are masculine/feminine.
