Go further and fire every ivy leaguer in govt

I agree with this. Sick of arrogant elitists who think they have the right to run almost every aspect of our lives.

Perhaps Judge Brown was overlooked or she was approached and is looking for retirement at her age. IMHO, she sounds like a rock solid candidate. Perhaps you should submit her name along to The Heritage Foundation, Jeff Sessions, or whomever else is working on this endeavor.

But more significantly, he’s forced Hillary’s hand-——she’d like to keep her selections secret....but that strategy is now kaput.

There are multiple ways to hurt Hillary with this list.

First, the Bernie crew is against Garland because, believe it or not, he's not liberal enough. So, does Hillary say she'll keep Garland, pissing off the Bernie crew... or does she go with someone else, pissing off Obama and his base?

Also, if she tries to demonize Trump's list, she risks alienating voters in their home states, who would understandably be proud to have one of their own on the USSC.

And... isn't it an interesting coincidence how many on that list come from states that Trump has targeted. Iowa, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Colorado...

But it’s still a slap at the Ivy cartel.

Which is great!

Levin is dead to me. Coming around now won’t help.

I would have liked to see several more Southern judges but this list is top notch. Very well done.

Note the Alabama judge on the list.

Judge Brown is likely seen as polarizing in her own black community since she often invokes slavery in describing what she sees as the perils of liberalism. She have a hard time saying in 2016, what she openly spoke in 2003. But then again, SCOTUS has the personal protection of the Secret Service.

“In the heyday of liberal democracy, all roads lead to slavery,” she warns. “Society and the courts have turned away from the founders’ emphasis on personal responsibility toward a culture of government regulation and dependency that threatens fundamental freedoms,” Brown warns.

“We no longer find slavery abhorrent,” she told the conservative Federalist Society. “We embrace it.” and “If we can invoke no ultimate limits on the power of government, a democracy is inevitably transformed into a kleptocracy — a license to steal, a warrant for oppression.”

Beyond this, Trump continues to control the narrative, which is something Hillary has no idea how to deal with.

This is an under-appreciated advantage that Trump has had from the beginning. The issues being discussed are his issues, not hers. He sets the agenda. He acts and she reacts. You can see it in her slogans like "Love Trumps Hate" and "America is already great". And when you're reacting you're losing.

Wait... Ted Cruz said Trump would appoint liberal judges, just like Hillary or was that just, ya know, campaign rhetoric? (lies).

Not only that, but she’s mischaracterizing anyhow.

I’m sure Sessions had a hand in this. Bill Pryor is on the list. He was Alabama’s attorney general a while back. He was very impressive. I remember thinking “This guy is the real deal”.

“White is now becoming a minority.”

Had a laugh (while crying in my beer) at that statement. My niece here in California got her college dues reduced because she successfully claimed she (being white) was a minority at her college.

I was stunned to learn that the most slavery in fairly recent history was of the Irish (by the English). Far exceeded the number of black slaves, and vaguely recall the population of Ireland was reduced to 600,000 in those times. The Irish were sold into slavery all over the world, some into indentured service in early America, but most to the West Indies, where they died in slavery. Can’t put my hand on the article at the moment, but the numbers were staggering.

But more significantly, he’s forced Hillary’s hand...

Excellent point. In terms of warfare, because that's what running a campaign against Hillary is, he's seized the initiative and anything she does will be seen as a reaction.

I think she'll delay any answer as long as she can, because that's her style, and she intends to use that office as she has used everything else she has ever controlled, as a playing piece in a game of political patronage. For Hillary, absolutely everything is for sale.

But it’s still a slap at the Ivy cartel.

Trump's entire campaign is a slap at the Ivy cartel, among others. That cartel has its members deeply embedded in the media and, naturally, academia, and carries with it a sense of entitlement to rule only slightly short of the Divine Right of Kings. They'll need more than a slap.
