Management of the New York City areas three major airports is fed up with long lines at security check points, and they have given the Transportation Security Administration an ultimatum: Either shorten the lines or well find someone else to do it.
The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, tasked with running John F. Kennedy, LaGuardia and Newark airports, is threatening to privatize the process of screening passengers before boarding their flight, according to a document sent from the Port Authority to TSA Administrator Peter Neffenger.
We can no longer tolerate the continuing inadequacy of the TSA passenger services,

The patience of the flying public has reached a breaking point, the letter reads. Passenger wait times have "risen dramatically in recent months, prompting angry complaints from passengers, terminal operators, and airlines alike citing inconvenience, delayed flights, and missed flight connections

The busiest airport in the country, Atlantas Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, made a similar threat in February.
There are less than two-dozen airports currently using private screening. Most of these airports are very small. However, there are exceptions.
San Francisco International Airport and Kansas City International Airport both have private firms handling a significant amount of passengers. These firms must meet the same standards and protocols as TSA and pay officers at least what TSA pays.

Look for the Union Label!!!!
TSA lines caused me to miss flight. Cost me hundreds to pay for another.
Have ya figured out our govt isn't on our side yet?
The chaos is deliberate. More Cloward-Piven, to disrupt the American middle class.
LOL!!!
I remember those commercials!
Me too! Had the full pat down....
luckily it was a small airport and a United clerk saw what was happening and rescheduled me.
the week after New Years rush out of Newark was worst ever yet this year.
Got to airport over 2 hours ahead and after slowly snaking through the convoluted line system they had downstairs, then up escalator over to another
snake area, then over to the actual check point snake area to get to 3,
count em 3 body scanners for everyone flying out of that terminal to have to
go through I had time to hurry to my gate to see they were half way thru boarding.
I don’t tend to wear a watch but it was at least an hour and half just to get thru scanners.
I (mis)spent my youth being a sound man for several local bands. I reached a paradox that you’re doing your best when no one knows you’re there. These fools get benefits on top of it all for being as intrusive as possible.
LaGuardia is busy, but not as bad as JFK or Newark, which are international. (Living Nightmares)
The next time I fly (if ever again) will be when the Holy Angels escort me to Paradise!
TSA and DHS be damned!
I dislike flying, but when I have to, I can only fly out of Atlanta.
If it is less than a 7-1/2 to 8 hour drive, it is faster driving when you add up all of the delays and problems setting up luggage for TSA’s scanning and handling.
Door-to-door? Yeah. 8 hours driving is faster than flying.
YES... we demand a BIGGER inade kwadcy
(or someone with a similar name to run it)

Nothing a couple of false flags can’t take care of. The sheeple will fall right back into line...
Lithium batteries? Firearms? Chemicals?
These guys can and will pick you up an deliver you at the grass strip of your choice and you can be carrying a machine gun and grenades for all they care.
Talked to a police officer once who had to go through all the TSA BS , while in uniform, and he agreed, private is a possible solution.
TSA= Too stupid for Arbys. or TSA= Thousands standing around
Recently at Denver they brought out the labs, Vizslas, and beagle to patrol the lines when travelling from Denver. Their actions shortened the process significantly. Trouble is they will not be used because
1. These canine sentries probably have more common sense and work ethic than the typical TSA drone
2. A Beagle wants to get paid in bacon and the union does not like that

Please let it be
“TSA lines caused me to miss flight”
At a given airport enough screening capacity is put in place to handle some amount of passengers and baggage.
What happens if the airlines book passengers in excess of the screeners’ capacity?
Is TSA getting a bad rap. Have the airlines overbooked the screeners? Shouldn’t the airlines required to not exceed the capacity of the screeners?
If there’s insufficient screening capacity, is that TSA’s fault or is it because not enough money is made available?
When a system is overloaded it becomes a killing field for complainers.
TSA has always been a combination of security theater, a jobs program, and indemnification for a favored industry, with actual security being far down the list of “benefits” being provided. One hopes a full review of its mission and utility will be on the table during Trump’s first 100 days.
