Donald Trump announced on Monday that New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie will serve as the chairman of the transition team. Christie will oversee the team preparing to take over the White House in the fall, according to a statement.
Trump made the announcement as he focuses on the general election after rivals Ohio Gov. John Kasich and Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas suspended their campaigns last week.
"Governor Christie is an extremely knowledgeable and loyal person with the tools and resources to put together an unparalleled Transition Team, one that will be prepared to take over the White House when we win in November. I am grateful to Governor Christie for his contributions to this movement," the presumptive nominee said in a statement.

That’ll stick in Her Thighness’s craw, for sure.
I guess we now love Crispy Creme?
Great psy-ops, but let’s not get complacent.
There are reports that neither Kasich nor Cruz has actually officially “suspended” their campaigns and are telling their teams it’s “full speed ahead” for the remaining primaries.
Does anyone know how to check to see if this is true?
Donuts every morning
Christie doesn’t seem to have anything else to do.
Just an FYI, setting up a transition team is required by law so the new President can assume duties quickly. Romney had a team in place in 2008.
Isn’t that putting the cart before the horse?
Does anyone know how to check to see if this is true?

Very easy to check how effective Cruz/Kasich are.
Trump is up over 70% in the polls in all the remaining states.
If they are doing anything it ain’t working.
Maybe Cuomo is a little preoccupied now with these corruption investigators nipping at his heels.
On second thought he would be great taking questions from the press. How about Savage? John Sununu. Newt. Ann Coulter.
No we don’t love Christie, but we do acknowledge him. He is one who has wisely decided to put this party together.
I think he’d make a fine Attorney General, and that’s because an AG simply doesn’t set policy. That comes from the WH.
I also think he’d be harmless as a VP candidate. Even if he did use it as a platform to run for the presidency, he’d still have to win on his own 4 to 8 years from now.
I do think he would bring a real shot at winning New Jersey with him, and I think he would bring the demographic of overweight Americans....that is a whole lot of people that cuts across racial and ethnic boundaries.
I was watching Trump’s speech in WV and he was telling people to stay home, that the real vote was in November.
He really needs to stop saying that.
For leading the transition team? Of course we love him!
I can’t stand him. But he’ll be good in that job. We are sick of nice guys who won’t get in it to win.
Well, that’s true. Just don’t trust ‘em, is all...
Trump is not naïve and he did not win against 17 opponents by being that way.
>>>I was watching Trumps speech in WV and he was telling people to stay home, that the real vote was in November.

He stopped saying that the moment he stepped off the Stage in WV and someone whispered in his Ear. Political rookie mistake, but he learns from his mistakes.
He obviously thought that when his Opponents “suspended” their Campaigns, they actually quit. Now he is going for the record number of Votes a Republican ever received in the Primary Season.
>>>I guess we now love Crispy Creme?<<<
If he were the presumptive Republican Nominee you might have a point, but he isn’t. He would make a good AG IMHO.
Trump had bad advise from handlers when he said that. He quickly corrected it and tells everybody to go out and vote!
