Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders called for a more liberal version of Fox News to help fix the problems he sees in corporate media.
“I think we have got to think about way that the Democratic party for a start starts funding the equivalent of Fox television,” he said in an interview that aired Friday on MSNBC's “The Rachel Maddow Show.”
Sanders blasted the media for shallow reporting, including coverage of presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump.
“I think the American people are going to have to say to NBC and ABC and CBS and CNN, you know what, forget the political gossip," Sanders said. "Politics is not a soap opera. Talk about the real damn issues facing this country.”

Al Jazeera America was on line for a while, but I believe they shut down. They were the successors to “Current TV”.
MSNBC IS the counterpoint to Fox News. Not that Fox News is still that much of an advocate for America any more. But MSNBC NEVER was very much a partisan of the American side of things.
Fox has a few spots that would be considered Conservative.

Fox hasn't been conservative news for a few years now. They have turned into the same as the others.

He has been wandering in the wilderness since the collapse of the USSR and the demise of PRAVDA as a hard core leftist rag.
Apparently he has no idea of how many leftist talk radio shows have started up with great fanfare only to rapidly die away for lack of listeners.
His dream of a leftist FOX alternative was actually filled by MSNBC, complete with programs that Mao and Stalin themselves would have enjoyed. But their viewers are few and ratings are dismal.
Leftists and moochers want the free stuff, the pandering and lack of accountability that socialist politicians dish out but don’t want to listen to their endless leftist drivel on the radio or TV.
