Washington (CNN)Former Vice President Dick Cheney will support Donald Trump, he told CNN Friday, an important move as the presumptive Republican nominee is encountering intense resistance from senior members of his own party. Cheney told CNN Special Correspondent Jamie Gangel that he has always supported the GOP nominee and will do so this year as well.
The announcement makes Cheney one of the few Republican Party elders to announce their support of Trump and comes a day after House Speaker Paul Ryan told CNN he is "just not ready" to back Trump.

Dick Cheney is the most qualified to be president and the most intelligent man I have ever seen but the MSM destroyed him. I am happy to see that he is supporting Trump.

Taking that thought to the furthest extreme, like insider knowledge of some sort of WMD attack, and in the aftermath giving the “top GOPES” the pick of whomever they want to be the republican nominee, someone who was ‘fortunate’ enough to not be in Cleveland during the tragedy, giving excuse to call for a ‘state of emergency’, and most likely enter into another war...
They probably just really really dislike that a Trump presidency threatens to upset their apple cart.
I don’t doubt they would try to pull off something like that. No doubt at all. In fact they have many reasons why they would do it. A couple of which you have listed.

And the whiplash seems to be going both directions. Villains becoming heroes overnight, and heroes becoming villains overnight. All based on their perceived support or lack of support of some golden calf.
Heck, I've even seen "he's dead to me" based on a false headline, when the body of the article conflicts with what the headline claims.

That makes two of us. Mr. Cheney wasn’t afraid to call out the ding bats that knew that they could say anything horrible about G.W. Bush and G. W., would never stick up for himself or the decisions that he made. G. W. was just something for the Democrats and the MSM to walk all over.
