Newt Gingrich Rips Paul Ryan for Trump Non-Endorsement
Breitbart ^ | 5/5/16 | Breitbart

Posted on 05/06/2016 6:30:54 AM PDT by Zenjitsuman

“[I]n the case of Paul Ryan he made a big mistake today and he needs to understand this,” Gingrich said. “He is the Speaker of the House. He has an obligation to unify the party. He has an obligation to reach out. Obviously he and Donald Trump are going to have disagreements. Some of them will work out and some of them they won’t. That’s fine. Our constitution provides that speakers and presidents can fight, but I think he sends the wrong signal and a signal which I think endangers the House Republicans and endangers the Senate Republicans.”

Any baggage Newt has is tame compared with what they’ve been trying to throw at Trump, and it doesn’t stick. Newt would reinforce Trump’s message at many points, and would be more than credible as a candidate for VP. For one thing, he would own any opponent in a VP debate. And would master the gotcha media. His experience is immense, and he’s superb on his feet.

And with all of that the Democrats are still controlling the agenda!

I’m only referring to Ryan. Others can come around in their own time, but I find it extraordinary (even if it is a political calculus designed to afford “cover” for others) that the GOP Speaker of the House balks at supporting his own party’s nominee.

Newt is continually the smartest guy in the room - politically, historically, and by any other measurement.

Lest we forget, in the post-Reagan years there is NOBODY who accomplished more than Newt did with his Contract with America in 100 days. He is the author of that blueprint and he got it done.

I have reservations about Trump like many of you, but my focus is on defeating the left and stalling/reversing their agenda that has seemingly taken over despite a GOP controlled congress. Newt would be the ideal person to take this on.

However, Newt does not have to be VP to do this. Chief of Staff or even senior advisor to Trump would put him in play. Trump needs to be strategic about his VP choice and find someone who will help him in all states (not just one). I think Trump will do far better in the rust belt and blue collar states than people think and if he (by himself) puts those in play the calculations say pick someone who is worth a few points in each state. While I think he should pick the best person possible - all things being equal - I hope he finds a female VP candidate.

It’s the smart political choice for optics and the right one might be worth a few points in each state. Only problem is that I don’t see many suggestions that are very exciting.

In all transparency I am much more of a farmer than a cowboy. Cowboy just sounds more folksy.

Gingrich would have better energy as VP.

Newt would also be a great reason to have others not assassinate Trump, because a VP Gingrich would do the same things as Trump but have all the knowledge of the inner workings of getting everything done.

Everyone in both parties get all excited about the VP nominee before it is announced. Then in October few give a rip. Palin is about the only VP candidate in a generation that has turned heads.

I looked to see where you are from but you don’t want to reveal it.

Funny that rather than discuss my post you take a swipe at me.

No wonder Liberty is only lost and never gained. Those of us who claim to be for Liberty like to eat each other rather than focus on the real enemy.

Once again I will say that I will be voting for Trump.
You and I better hope he is a Liberty loving conservative leaning man that has had to disguise himself in liberal clothing for business rather than a flaming liberal who has disguised himself as a liberty loving conservative for this election.

Either way he will be better than anything with a D behind their name I think.

“I agree with Newt, and I hope Ryan gets Cantorized.”

Paul Ryan must be denied the chairmanship of the Republican national Convention, before he can sabotage Trump’s nomination and the rules going forward.

Ryan is also preparing to roll out a separate governing agenda for the fall that his members can run on, a clear sign that he thinks the substance of the 2016 contest does not represent the party he has spent 20 years trying to build.

It sounds like a plan to have a LOAD of simpering snowflakes get weeded out! The smarter ones will choose their own path with the winner.
