Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump on Thursday he would scrap a slew of federal regulations that he said are even more of a burden on American business owners than high taxes.
"We're lowering taxes very substantially and we're going to be getting rid of a tremendous amount of regulations," Trump said in an interview with CNBC.

This, along with lower taxes and tariffs on products made outside the US, will bring jobs back to America.
That is one task that Mr. Trump is well qualified for.
Businesses create jobs. More jobs means more people paying taxes.
And I’m not an economist.
THIS would be a great first step towards helping the economy. Get rid of the Obamacare requirement for 50 employees or more and people might start being able to find jobs again too. In fact kill Obamacare period.
Agree except on tariffs. We already have thousands of tariffs on products that a “court” has determined are being dumped in the US market. There are too many negative consequences to expansive tariffs.
Economic issues and growth message is a territory Trump should own. Unfortunately this will get lost and media will amplify stories about his hair and comments on National Enquirer headlines.
I bet less taxes were collected from individuals the last several years just because 20 some odd percent of the population couldn't find work. Obama has certainly proved one thing - socialism does NOT work.
One possibility is to set up a tariff mirror system. Oh, China, putting a 50% tariff on American cars? Hey, here’s a 50% tariff on everything you export to the US - automatically.
A great start, Don.
Don’t forget the homowner, the sportsman.....
REscind the rules that closed the coal-fired power plants. My rural electric co-op just incurred $54 MILLION in costs non-recoverable due to closing one.And a public utility locally is shutting downa working power plant and the jobs there.
There are supposedly $billions on the sidelines ‘offshore’ that companies have been waiting to re-invest, post-Obama.
If Trump starts by EO-ing massive expensive worthless business regs out of existence, he could create a firestorm economy in short order.
Freedom. Yea.
These are the kind of things that Reagan did which the GOPe purposely ignored once Reagan was gone.
Trump is probably going to disappoint Conservatives in a few areas, but for the most part he is going to get it right.
Reagan used tariffs. I agree they shouldn’t be expansive, but we need to use everything in our arsenal to punish trade partners for cheating.
Strange thing for a Big Government guy to be saying.
Could his critics have been misrepresenting his stand all along?

No surprise. His critics want him to lose. Now they prefer the Butcher of Benghazi to him. How depraved is that?
We’re in agreement on this, but it’s important to note there are already import tariffs on over 12,000 products:

Rescind Obamacare, Sarbanes-Oxley, and the entirety of Dodd-Frank.
Return federally-owned lands to the states in which they reside.
Eliminate the Dept of Education. Neuter the EPA by declaring CO2 the harmless gas it always has been. Re-define wetlands as places that actually have water on them. Approve the Keystone Pipeline, open both oceans for off-shore drilling. Allow exports of crude. Remove about half the endangered species from the list.
Mandate the removal of all “Press Here for Spanish” buttons at all ATM’s. Ditto “Oprima el numero dos” as an allowable phone prompt. No residential phone calls originating from India during happy hour, please!
America’s jealous Marxists have been hobbling American business for decades.
No wonder our economy is in the tank.
This would be a Golden Opportunity for Trump to set them free and restore the ruined obama economy.
