La Porte, IN–Texas Sen. Ted Cruz said a kid growing up in his household would have been spanked if they acted out the way a boy did towards him Sunday during a rally.
The pre-teen boy was escorted out by local law enforcement when he told Cruz during a rally, “You suck.” The incident began when Cruz talked about his tax plan and heard the boy’s voice screaming something un-intelligible to him from the crowd.
“Apparently there’s a young boy who’s had some problems,” Cruz said. The child yelled something unknown again at Cruz but then screamed louder, “You suck.”

Where I come from, its even MORE rude for a stranger to “put my kid in his place”. No matter if my kid is expressing his 1A right or not.

My, y there sure is a huge difference between today and when I grew up in the 50’s. Back in the day it was not only acceptable but it was expected that another adult if they witnessed a child misbehaving and no parent around would put a stop to it and bring the child’s behavior to the parents attention if they could be found.
"It's going to be huge, okay? We're going to be so great, okay? The country is going to be so wonderful, okay? We don't win. We're going to win. And you're going to get tired of winning."
Bad behavior by child but Cruz turned it around to attack Trump, which is silly but in keeping with how he has been conducting his campaign.
Your's is the proper view. Of course, it doesn't fly in 2016 America, but it's the right one nonetheless.

My thought as well. Expected response would have been to focus on the kids’ actions, talk about respect for elders, and then let it go.
Agreed. Parents today think this kinda stuff is funny but it’s obscenely direspectful.
My kids and I rib each other but I would be mortified and demand they apologize if they said this to a grown up. And they’d catch hell for it at home.
Even to Obama, let alone Cruz.

What has “plain” speaking to do with being RUDE? If you think an 11 yr old speaking to an adult in that was is somehow acceptable then you have a problem.

“You suck” is not even close to being rude by modern conversational standards.

Not a Cruz fan here, but no 12 year old should be encouraged to be disrespectful, but instead should be taught to respect his elders.

He talks a lot, and says very little. Nobody can miss him, because all the news networks cover him 24/7. So I guess we can all wait here for you to to enlighten us as to what he will actually do.
You know, this is another thing I am getting totally sick of. Me and a godzillion others have already been talking about the 3.3% growth since WW2, and then the 1% or under 2% GDP, we just saw the horrible .5% GDP, and how NO problems, zero will be solved, we cannot solve anything without growth, I know that as an investor, even someone like me who took, and takes the time, who now watch our investments DAILY and the constant battle to realign and rebalance investments – but we learn how – and who try to keep businesses going – somehow we are doing this despite government and despite both the Democrats and the absolutely disgusting Republican establishment that is only about their benefactors of cheap labor but only cheap for them but not ever y one else in the reclining middle class who have to pay for all the social services for the hordes of invaders who now are no more than colonists and certainly not “immigrants”, to call this “immigration” is a total insult to our intelligence – we ALREADY know all of this, that is why we are for Trump, we have been screaming about the disgusting lobbyists gaming the system, and now we are also screaming about the disgusting double agent delegates and voterless elections gaming the system on behalf of these VERY SAME lobbyists, and then after we have already been saying all of this now FOR YEARS and simply are not listened to, told to be silent, to be the “good silent majority”, all the while POLITICIANS telling us during a campaign run “elect me the politician, then we will ‘stop Obama’ and ‘stop this spending’ and ‘reduce taxes’ – THEN THEY GIVE OTHER POLITICIANS ALL OF OUR TAX MONEY IN EXPLODING “BUDGETS” and SPENDING and ‘oh, we cannot shutdown the spending government!’, on and on, and on and on, and on, and then it’s like “Oh, Ted Cruz! He has the solution! Look! He is saying WHAT WE ALREADY KNOW” and then like, oh, I am supposed to say he is a genius or something?
This guy is trying to game the very election process, while I am supposed to be told I am an idiot who doesn’t know anything, but Ted, he knows, oh thank you Great Genius for telling me what I already know. I am watching this guy cheer on voterless elections and trying to use double agent delegates to misrepresent themselves and a voice for the person the voters had voted for but yet they are actually agents for some other politician they DIDN’T vote for – and then I am supposed to say “thank you”????
Does Ted think he is the only one already been saying all this stuff? Me and a godzillion others have been saying this stuff for going on 2 decades now, and just when we are now getting a chance to actually DO something about it, we are told to “accept” double agent delegates, voterless elections, that “we don’t know the rules” as if this is all supposed to be normal in a collapsing debt ridden world where we are blamed for all the ills in the world and being colonized by the worst on the planet – I mean, at least if we are going to be taken over by foreigners, we can pick to have the better of humanity, but no, it has to be the worst, the scum of the earth, now it’s HIV positive Somalis and I am guilty of “white guilt” as I AM BEING LOOTED.
What about my children? THEY ARE BEING DECLARED GUILTY OF SOMETHING JUST FOR BEING BORN, NOW! The second they are born, our CHILDREN ARE GUILTY OF SOMETHING, right? Right? We pay, THE INVADERS TAKE.
Screw all of this. I don’t need some lecture as if I am dumb, and some politician is so smart. I already know what’s going on, and have for a long time now. Trump. I want Trump.
