Lucky you. My son moved to AZ over a year ago, and came back to OH after only 5 months out there. He loved the weather, but, missed the Buckeye State. Go figure. OH is home to me, and I wish you well with your retirement. Why can’t we get good governors here in OH?

One thing I can safely predict is no Kumbaya moment at the podium when the Convention ends.

Like most folks I know, across the political spectrum, us OH folks do not like KSick. He has starved local governments of the money which is necessary to provide basic services.
But you know what? There's a lot of not terrific stuff going on and there's the challenge of coordination for the convention. The state needs a leader. KSick should either get his *ss back here and provide leadership as Governor or resign.

He definitely lost a lot of FReepers over that one.
Not sure if it was the driving force in his campaign strategery, but Ted completely changed after joining at the hip with Stabby McStabberson.

These two fools...one’s a pathological liar and the other knew that and still colluded with that liar to undermine the will of voters. Thank God we have this season of vetting.

If Trump wins the nomination, I suspect he will pick Kasich as VP. Their behavior seems coordinated; Kasich is playing spoiler, and has been for some time. They are ideologically compatible, as the two most liberal candidates in the original field, and Kasich would bring experience and competence to the ticket, which Trump sorely needs.

I honestly think Cruz needs to be on suicide watch
You may be right. Consider the pressures that he must be under, pressure from his 'VP' partner iSnarly to do as he's told unless he wants her to spill the beans on the purpose for that half a million he paid to her PAC, pressure from his GOPe handlers (meaning the Bush Criminal Syndicate) to stay in the race, pressure from his Goldman-Sachs 'Valley-of-the-Dolls' wife Heidi to keep going, her position being formulated strictly from a political-financial perspective, pressure from his father, who most certainly still is pushing that whole 'Ted, you are anointed by God' schtick, from the mad Mormon 'prophet' Glenn Beck and his zany deluded followers, THIS is why (in my opinion) that we are seeing such erratic behavior out of Cruz, he is becoming more unstable under all of these multiple stresses hammering on him.
I'm going to suggest something I didn't expect to say, which is that we should all be praying for the poor sonuvabitch, just in case he IS considering doing something irrational or self-destructive.

This really is beginning to look more than a little pathological. I'd say a little is an understatement. For once I can really appreciate "The Process". We were close to jumping from the frying pan into the fire. (Is that racist?)

“turning point”
Mine was the debate where the Cuban Gemini Twins, with little smiles, blew right by by a turned-around Ben Carson, who didn’t hear his name called, while Trump stayed with him until it was straightened out.
Just a little thing but it showed something to me.

Get his butt out of politics, Texas.....

His employement history says he won’t be the senator but for one term if he makes that.
He moves from job to job rather quickly. Heck he was seeking the Presidency after only
a few months into his Senate position. And for sure hasn’t been spending much time in the
job he’s getting paid to do.
