US unions plan attack on Donald Trump in attempt to derail presidential bid

Concerned labor group leaders are organizing ad campaigns and phone banks as Trump’s populist message on trade and jobs draws in union voters

The prospect of a Donald Trump nomination has labor leaders scrambling to hold the line as the Republican frontrunner’s appeal to disaffected working-class voters threatens to upset the traditional political calculus.

The majority of America’s almost 15 million unionized workers can be usually be relied upon to back the Democratic candidate in a presidential year, but leaders are concerned by Trump’s populist message on trade and jobs – and his insistence that union workers are just one of many groups on a long list of those he claims “love” him.

And all of this hotels go non-union, and the legal fees mount up, which Donald can afford, but the Unions would have to divert campaign funds. This could get fun!

Then again, a LOT of unions may actually like Trump. Would not doubt there would be some infighting amongst themselves.

From the article;

“While most of Trump’s support comes from the staunch Republican base, one in four Democrats who chose a candidate showed a preference for Trump,” said Working America’s report.

The majority of respondents said they supported the candidate because of his pugnacious personality rather than for, say, his position on trade.

I don’t think a single Trump building project was non-union.
If anything the unions would be pro TRUMP.
Imagine the construction jobs and the dues for new union members in the border states!

Well that’s pretty stupid on their part.

Union labor, especially manufacturing, will be helped not hurt by a Trump presidency.

I’m in a union, and I voted for Trump today.

Plenty of the guys I work with are voting for him as well.

Stupidity is to be expected from this commie rat bastard;

“We can’t be fooled,” Richard Trumka, president of AFL-CIO, America’s largest federation of labor unions, implored his 12.5 million members at the organization’s annual convention in Philadelphia this month. “Trump isn’t interested in solving the problems he yells and swears about. He delivers punch lines, but there’s nothing funny about them.”

Union Labor is only a support system for Union Labor Organizations! NOBODY can get a crap contract signed like the International.

>>Then again, a LOT of unions may actually like Trump.

Most unions hate Trump. All of the skilled union workers I know are card-carrying Republicans who already voted for him in the primary.

The ditch digger type of union members are feeling the Bern.

No one with functioning testicles wants Hillary.

Would it be surprising if leadership is pro-Hillary and union members are pro-Trump?

So what happens when the independent voters rebel against the Republican political elite establishment and demand Trump? More importantly what happens when rank N file union members rebel against the union leadership elite that feels they know how the peasants should vote?

If union members are as tired of the same old Cra#, as typical Republican voters are then this could get very interesting.

To Donald Trump, busting union management.

whether this union biz is true or not, The Guardian is normally 100% clueless about U.S. politics and/or simply engages in ultra-left fantasy.

I googled this issue and basically only The Guardian is reporting it, so I suspect it’s simply ultra-leftist fantasy.

Democrats read this:
you can get illegal votes OR union votes - not BOTH
