Ted Cruz called California "the big enchilada on Wednesday and said it would be the state that ultimately decides the Republican nomination. But a new poll from Capitol Weekly/Sextant Strategies shows Donald Trump in a dominant position across the state.
The results, provided to POLITICO, show Trump leading statewide with 41 percent of the vote and Cruz trailing far behind with 23 percent. John Kasich is in third with 21 percent, and 15 percent of Republicans said they remain undecided.
California is worth 172 delegates when it votes on June 7 with the winner of each of the states 53 congressional districts receiving three delegates. The statewide winner receives 13 delegates.
The Capitol Weekly/Sextant Strategies poll shows Trump winning in almost every corner of the state, from San Diego and Orange County to northern California and the Bay Area, though some regions have small sample sizes. Cruz performs strongest in the Central Valley, as he has in previous surveys, though he still trails Trump there by 7 percentage points, 35 percent to 28 percent. Trump leads in the liberal Bay Area, but it is Kasich who nudges above Cruz into second place, trailing Trump 39 percent to 25 percent.
Trumps strongest region is the Inland Empire of southern California, where he hits 49 percent support. Trump scores best among older voters, winning those 55 and over with 43 percent, and weaker among younger voters.
I’m from Cali originally, I fled the mexican invasion. You can’t imagine how bad it’s become. It is literally third-world. No matter the natives that are left want a wall and deportations. For starters.
Presumptive nominee Trump winning big everywhere:

It’s the damn California values that have screwed up my native state. If Cruz or anyone else said that, it wouldn’t offend me in the least. They would instantly get my vote.
Today’s move to the Hard Left should help Trump big time in CA.
Come on, let’s keep it real. Maybe where YOU lived it was third world, but not in my neck of the woods.
OUR STANDARD BEARER? LET PERVERTS USE OUR KIDS FACILITIES?
We tried,
Jedi.
These trends are crushing to Cruz.
After next Tuesday they should accelerate even more for Trump.
Gingrich said it is likely that Trump will have the 1237 before California!
I miss my Irvine!
We tried,
Jedi.
Yes, you tried but unfortunately Ted Cruz is such an awful candidate he couldn’t get elected dog catcher outside of Texas.
You can stick a fork in Ted.
Orange County was Vietnamized ages ago.
Is California an open or closed primary?
He really is. The dude is so smart. But his personality is so repellant.
Locally in Sacramento Cruz was running radio ads non stop on Conservative talk shows for several months earlier in the year. I haven’t heard one for weeks now. His ads weren’t changing the numbers.
Despite the rhetoric, I think Teddy has seen the writing on the wall.
As next weeks NE states primaries roll in, I think that people will abandon him to jump on the Trump Train. The average Joe likes to be associated with a winner. Its looking more and more like the winner will be Trump.
No one likes a guy that tries to win after the popular vote by massaging delegates, or using smoke filed back room politics. The public’s perception of that isn’t pretty, even if his faithful can’t see it.
I am a resident Californian. All the Republicans I know here love Trump. California is definitely Trump Country among Republicans, because illegal aliens are a big issue here and they love Trump’s message both regarding building a wall aa well as the economy and jobs. There is also a strong Stop Cruz element in California. As we get within days of the actual primary, I predect Trump’s polling numbers will rise even more. I will be donating more money to his campaign as we approach the primary.
CALIFORNIA IS TRUMP COUNTRY 2016
Apparently he's been that way since high school. A jerk to classmates, a jerk to Senate colleagues. Whatta guy. Real presidential material there.
Well, I think he locked up the transgender vote.

Thanks for the smile.
