Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz on Thursday said front-runner Donald Trump had defied “common sense” and embraced political correctness by coming out against North Carolina’s law barring people from using public restrooms of the opposite sex.
“He said he thought men should be able to go into the girls bathroom if they want,” scoffed Mr. Cruz, a U.S. senator from Texas. “Let me ask you, have we going stark raving mad? This is political correctness. This is nonsense.”

In the grand scheme of things, this really isn’t the most important issue of the day. I agree that your birth certificate gender should dictate your restroom choice, but to be honest, I have only seen transgendered on TV and movies, never in real life. If they are around, I never noticed. I would imagine that the small percentage of them that use the restrooms in public is almost non-existent.

Trump should have just said it is a state’s right and he was focused on national issues.
Maybe he actually meant that by saying leave it the way it is. In some states - like mine, Washington - folks seem not to care about their wives, daughters and granddaughters being subjected to hanging dongs. Other states do care about these issues.
Maybe we will see some changes on this issue when women feminazis start having men in the bathrooms and the girls sports teams are replaced with trnasgenders, but until we get some shrieky women protesting it will stay the same.

Good God people, it’s not the state’s job to protect your family in a public restroom - it’s YOUR responsibility as parents, as husbands, brothers, moms, etc.. i always went in the restroom WITH my kids until they were old enough to look out for themselves.. but i was hovering.. and pack’n.. just in case. what a bunch of losers this nation has become..

Does he support it? No, hes for traditional marriage. He has listed very conservative judges as potential nominees, pushed religious freedom and is going to bring education local. For now its a very strategic position that will NOT help Cruz with the bigger states still in play. it also removes this issue during the general which is a big issue with all the gay billionaires, media and in government.
But the bathroom issue is dead for this election. Let the New courts, religious freedom and local education handle the cultural problems. The Executive office is not the place for it.
