Is There Not Cause to Fight for Conservatism?
Conservative Review ^ | 04/20/16 | David Serenda

History is the most effective teacher we will have in our lives, because it gives us the answers to life's situations. This is especially true with war stories, as they tell of great courage in the face of even greater despair. Allow me to take you back in time to when a fierce battle was talking place between the armies of the Philistines and armies of Israel.

As we study the history of this battle, we find both armies atop separate mountains with a great valley separating them. As Goliath, the leader of the Palestinian army, mocks the nation of Israel, they fear his great size and run and hide. Today we find a similar battle between liberalism and conservatism. Each army (the political campaign) is on their mountain (agenda) with a great valley (the place of battle) between us, and just like in this story, the liberals are the aggressors, mocking our nations founding and Judeo Christian values.

For 40 days, Goliath (liberalism) came out and challenged the armies (political campaigns) of Israel (conservatism) to battle, going as far as to say, “This day I defy the armies of Israel! Give me a man and let us fight each other.” As the armies heard these words, they feared the giant and fled and hid themselves. From King Saul to the lowest ranking member of the army, they were dismayed and fearful.

We need Davids that are willing to destroy the liberal agenda, not compromise and make deals.

If you think Cruz is King David.....well, delusions can be pretty things, until reality smacks ya right in the face.

Come the convention, I expect Cruz to re-enact the courtroom scene from The Caine Mutiny. Right after the RNC slime confirms their attempt to #NeverTrump failed and they scurry to try and save some small parts of their fiefdoms by discarding Cruz like a used rubber.

Conservative Review is paid by Cruz Superpacs. (See FEC public filings.) Their content should be banned from FR.

Cruz is over and he is a Bush republican and not a conservative.

He is also not eligible to be POTUS.

He is done, over, nobody wants him and he would never be accepted as the nominee by the voters.

How can you not see that? What part of that do you thick heads not understand?

I was mistaken, and I thought it was about the U.S. Constitution, conservatism and the country.

No, silly, this is about a WALL. Built by a guy who scolded Romney about being ‘too harsh’ on immigrants, resulting in his loss. Google it.

I guess we’ll just all abandon the Constitution. Which candidates in the race have said they don’t support building a wall?

Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders.

Romney lost because Trump criticized his immigration platform? Really. That’s the first time I’ve heard that theory proffered. Good luck selling THAT. You’ll need it.

Eric Hoffer, “True Believers.”

I always thought that the Founding needed to be conserved along with its society. That’s why I signed up for conservatism. That seems to have been lost somewhere in this election cycle.

Not really.

Conservative Orthodoxy has become little more than a filthy whore for sale to the highest bidder.

She supports open, unfair trade, no borders and free import of labor, endless foreign wars when we have no strategic interest at stake...and worships at the alter of corrupt politics.

I don't want anything to do with the dirty bitch.
