Maybe to get Trump supporters to relax and think it’s all over at this time.
Schmidt, like McCain and Romney, do NOT want the republicans in power.
Even if Cruz were the nominee it seems he must have made a deal with the devil, seing as he has Bush and Graham as part of his campaign.
Both of them do NOT want Cruz as the nom and are in his camp as moles for the eGOP. There to destroy Cruz or make sure he would give the election to Hillary.
I’m sure Jeb, Linda and this Steve guy are working behind the scenes, even with dems, to try to keep republicans out of the WH with voter fraud, treats, intimidation etc.

I’ve run the numbers and try to be fair and “conservative” and I have Trump at 1170 WITHOUT Indiana, without a single delegate from MT, NM, NE, and only 140 from CA.
Now, I hear he’s leading in NM, and many conservatives tell me he’ll do much better than 140 in CA, and that he’ll win IN, so he could easily get to 1237.

Ted is mathematically eliminated from winning. The best he and Kasich can do is hope for a contested convention. They cannot win outright.
