Schmidt Predicts Trump Wins Nomination on First Ballot Will Clear 1,237 By at Least 50 to 60 Delegates
[I] think when you look at the math of this race and look at states ahead, you look at the winner take all states, Donald Trump is going to be the first-ballot nominee of the Republican Party, Schmidt said. He will clear the 1,237 mark by at least 50 to 60 delegates by the time the votes are counted on June 7...

He is right, Cruz is done, no one wants to waste a vote on a loser
Schmidt is a useless lump, but he’s right about this.
oh Schmidt!
Donald Trumps campaign advisers believe the billionaire mogul is emerging as the prohibitive favorite in the Republican presidential race and project that he will accumulate more than 1,400 delegates to secure the nomination on the first round of balloting at the partys Cleveland convention, according to an internal campaign memorandum.
I certainly hope so and that the GOPe will come to their senses and start supporting him against Hillary.
Well yes I know. Ran the numbers state-by-state a long time ago. Murdock Fox News prognostications, Lib Silver, and Cruzers are diluted.
I don’t know about 50 or 60 but at this point I think Trump does go in with more than 1237.
Newt Gingrich just did a live feed broadcast from his Facebook while in Germany and said that as of NOW Trump IS the presumptive nominee and that by the time he hits California he will already have the 1237 he needs!!!!
Wow, Newt is calling the shot, like Babe Ruth. :)
If this was Yeb!, they would already be saying it’s over.
They would have been saying that since early March.
Did you just get here?
:D
I just said as much in another thread. Anything else is a smokescreen at this point. “It’s over, Johnny. Over!”
Trump burning up the opposition.
Good post, however the article incorrectly states that Trump is opposed to free trade. His position is that what we have now isn’t free trade, and he’s right.
I support Senator Cruz, but at this juncture it would be best for the party not to have a brokered convention. I almost hope Trump wins the nomination on the first ballot.
Almost.
[full disclosure - Cruz supporter]
I agree. Trump should come in with about 1,300 is delegates.

“...no one wants to waste a vote on a loser”.
So are you saying you voted for Obama over Romney?
