The main point about Trump supporters not turning out to vote in the general election if the RNC rigs the game for one of its own is true. However, I don't believe that winning the general election, or even making a strong showing, is their highest priority. The GOP establishment has already decided that they can live with Hillary, she's on the same page as they are except for the minor details. What they can't live with is a populist movement within the party that picks a candidate who the RNC hasn't approved.

So far from being "suicide," this is the GOP establishment's strategy for self-preservation: better to lose this election to another Democrat than risk having the party taken over by the grassroots.

What does this tell us?

People don't like Cruz. He gets delegates when people DON'T vote.

They’re not just risking the White House though. They are risking many, many down ticket votes. My only reason to vote Republican this year is for President, frankly. I’m done with that party after this.

The GOP will gladly implode and cede control to the dems to keep a conservative from gaining control. It would be a mistake to think they are worried.

While we have had two major parties for most of our history, the two major parties have not always been today’s Republican and Democrat parties.

If the Republican party were to dissolve as the Whig party did, I would not shed any tears for its demise.

I would appreciate seeing a strong conservative party arise, to take the place of the Republicans as the 2nd party in American politics.

What does the Republican party really stand for anymore?

Do conservatives feel represented by the GOP?

Do we have a meaningful two party system, if we have a liberal/socialist party, and then a liberal lite party as the opposition? Does this arrangement really represent the big plurality of people who identify as conservative, for them to support the liberal lite party???

the Republican Party will be seen by the American people as a glorified Chinese tong.

****************************************

The GOP will be seen by the American people as the other half of the Uniparty that refuses to represent the citizens and enforce the laws against fraudulently documented foreigners.

The most important thing to the GOP is blocking the citizens from stopping The Cheap Labor Express.

What they can’t live with is the citizens keeping the rule of law and their country.

Staying home will be the reaction of some. What they not are counting on is the new phenomenon of :

Kamikaze Voter

Removing Republicans from office everywhere

If we are doomed with Trump and doomed without him, does it mean Clinton is our savior?

There are NO scenarios under which the GOP doesn’t die this cycle.

Tump nomination kills it.

Trump tantrum at loss kills it.

If he does, and the nomination is taken from him, the Republican Party will be seen by the American people as a glorified Chinese tong.

Had to look that one up:

Tong (organization)

In Chinese culture, the word tong means "hall" or "gathering place". In North America, a tong (Chinese: 堂; pinyin: táng; Cantonese Yale: tong; literally: "hall") is a type of organization found among Chinese living in the United States and Canada. These organizations are described as secret societies or sworn brotherhoods and are often tied to criminal activity.

If the Republican party were to dissolve, I wonder how many current Republican elected officals would join the new party...and how many would join the Democrat party?

B.S. Trump is a Democrat in a ‘Pub sheepskin. He certainly is not a grassroots conservative. And now he’s hired those GOPe operatives to run his campaign that so many on this site disparage. He’s always had the worst of the establishment political class on his team, the execrable Roger Stone. Plus he doesn’t whine about all the caucus “no vote” races he’s won or received delegates. Ignorant, arrogant phony.

GOP risks suicide by stealing election from Trump

_________________________________________

I have a strong suspicion that Ted and the GOP-e will cave in. They will let Trump take the nomination.

Accordingly Trump will be our next McCain/Romeny loser to lose to Hillary.

All by design.

That just about sums up Ted Cruz.

Trump supporters are not really “grass roots”. Though he has some support there...the grass roots are more Cruz types.

Either way it does not look good. Even a Hail Mary of bringing on Cruz as VP does not look like it will stop the welfarian hordes from winning in November.

No wall.
No deportations.
Awash in head chopping hordes immediately eligible for welfare...(refugees).
The Supreme Court gone for decades.
Loss of the Senate.

10 seconds after we lose the election...the mantra of “next time will have to get a conservative to run” will flame out of the fingers of Donny the Democrat Donors’ supporters faster than the speed of light.

Some never learn.

But...but....but...we were gonna get A WALL! A WAAAALLLLL!

Jedi.

.................................................................
And what does the party do for financial support in order to continue? Already, some of its biggest donors are backing away and millions of little people are declaring themselves independents because of the corruption within the party. The “little people” can and WILL destroy the Republican Party and start a new one. We ae tired of the king makers!

For years now, the GOPe refused to play the traditional role and joined the progressive opposition.
The were totally helpless or unwilling to oppose the socialist wave; they enabled the national mess. And they denied their role.

They just didn't "get" it. They doubled down.

Their choice, their political funeral.

I WILL help them.

I will vote for Sanders in the primaries, and write in Trump if necessary in the General.

I will do the job of my convictions.

Polls? Ignored.
Talking heads? ignored
MSM hysterical distortions? Ignored.

GOPe p****s? Ignored

I will just enjoy the next few months and won't even acknowledge the GOPe funeral.

The Tea Party lives as strong as ever. I just hope a new militant no-holds barred truly conservative party emerges from the mess.

The GOPee is controlled by the elites and the uniparty. It doesn’t matter who is in the rainbow house. It’s all just a show. The only thing that matters is who counts the votes and how they are manipulated, that’s why they want everything done electronically. they have to allow the pendulum to swing from the liberal to the conservative side and that’s what they are doing. I don’t waste my time voting or following the bs elections. The media have been trained and conditioned to be their lapdogs. There is very little if any independent thinking. They are all given the talking points for the day and they know that they have to follow the script.

The Republican party and their lackeys in the media will cease to exist as we’ve known it regardless of what happens from here on in.

They’ve been exposed. Actually, they exposed themselves by their incessant vitriol, lies, and shameless activism in general.

We the People have had a belly full.
