The Republican Party "manipulated" Colorado's convention last weekend, which ended with Ted Cruz receiving all of the Centennial State's 34 delegates, former Rep. Tom Tancredo told Newsmax TV on Friday. "It absolutely was," Tancredo, who served on Capitol Hill for a decade beginning in 1999, told "Newsmax Prime" host J.D. Hayworth. He quit the GOP last year and described Cruz as "the real deal" in January.

Ted Cruz: “I am the king of voterless states!”
Can’t run a campaign, can’t run a country.
LOL.
No one believes Clinton is better at making deals or electable in November because she can screw crazy bernie.
Describes Ted Cruz perfectly. He can't run a campaign (you know, where voters vote).
Getting the voters to vote for you, as opposed to stealing delegates with the help of the party elites, is traditionally what's required to "run a campaign".
That's why Ted Cruz is 2 million votes behind Trump, 200 delegates behind Trump (and soon to be more), and trailing even Kasich throughout the Northeast, and that's why Ted Cruz won't be running the country.
You can't write off entire regions of voters (the South, the Northeast, for example) and expect to have a successful campaign.
So thanks for reminding us who's really running an inferior (and sleazier) campaign: Ted Cruz.
Ted Cruz has lost. He will have been mathematically eliminated after the next Tuesday or two. His only hope was to get the nomination at a contested GOP convention, which would irreparably splinter the party, and guarantee a GOP defeat in November.
Simply put, that's not going to happen. Not even the crooked GOPe is that stupid.
Vote Trump
What did Eric Cantor do for 6 years and 4 years and then nothing?
That cruzer didn’t know how to run a campaign. I dont think Dave Brat should be the national candidate.
What in the world are you raving about?
People don't remember this, but the Tyranny Response Team was formed because of Republican Governor Bill "What are they going to do, vote Democrat?" Owens.
Full disclosure, I changed my voter registration from republican to Unaffiliated the day after Obama was reselected.
Can’t get the votes in a general you can’t run a country.
now to get votes for a general you have to be getting enough votes viable to win swing states, this is not happening for cruz
Cruz is crashing in the polls now. What happens to his momentum after he loses the next 6 contests, often placing 3rd?
He is done.

If Cruz destroys the Party at the Convention then loses to Hillary, he is finished politically - BUT if he quits, he has a bright future.
— Bill Mitchell (@mitchellvii) April 15, 2016
Yes, Cruz is a narcissistic jerk - and exactly why he will likely quit before Cleveland. Narcissists don't often commit suicide.
— Bill Mitchell (@mitchellvii) April 15, 2016
I'm going on record as predicting CRUZ QUITS BEFORE CLEVELAND in a magnanimous gesture to save the Party gaining future leverage & goodwill.
— Bill Mitchell (@mitchellvii) April 15, 2016
Does narcissistic Cruz at age 45 seem like the kind of man to destroy his career just to stop a man with whom he largely agrees on policy?
— Bill Mitchell (@mitchellvii) April 15, 2016
People say Cruz will stay in to the end out of ambition - but political suicide is not ambitious. Being the guy who "savedthe Party" is.
— Bill Mitchell (@mitchellvii) April 15, 2016
Cruz going to Cleveland would be the equivalent of a Kamikaze pilot diving into an enemy ship. Bad for the boat, worse for the pilot.

Ask Tom why he ran under the constitution party for govenor of that state. He came in second ahead of the GOP establishment pick.
Tancredo is the one I would like to see as Trumps VP pick.
Cant run a campaign, cant run a country.
What a load of BS. What did Cruz do in Colorado? Did he pick the chairman of the Republican Committee years ago? He is just the beneficiary of the establishment hate for Trump. If it wasn’t for that he would not gotten those delegates.
Yep, this cannot be stressed enough. It's been this way for at least the decade I've lived here. This season's disaster was totally predictable, given the knowledge that this year the contest wasn't already decided by the time Colorado's turn came up.
It's also important to note that what the state is using as (or is using in lieu of) a primary system has screwed up more than just presidential candidate selection. At least three times in recent history, the Republican process has produced candidates whose selection was sufficiently tainted by scandals that Republicans had to look to unaffiliateds and third party candidates to get the "real" Republican/Conservative.
Tancredo himself was one of these guys who ran (unsuccessfully) as a white knight trying to save the Party from multiple, unelectable Republican gubernatorial candidates who were sunk by scandals.
And in the last election we had county-level fiascos involving two scandals each in two local offices (that's four total, more if you count some side-scandals); and in both cases we had to run "real" candidates as unaffiliateds. These scandals involved both flawed candidates and bylaws violations on the part of Party authorities. It's getting to the point in this county where Unaffiliated is becoming the "serious" party.
Looks like Cruz supporters are moving to Ka-Sick.
Proves what a lot of here have been saying.
They were never pro-Cruz, just anti-Trump.
Probably Bush supporters hiding behind Cruz,
afraid they were for Jeb.
I lot of hiding is going on here, as well.
Who’s got a better chance of winning during the General Election? The guy that wins votes or the guy steals delegates?
Exactly!
Can’t think of anything original so I can get my 30 pieces of silver?
Keep ‘em coming...
