Liberal activists plan a massive demonstration in New York City Thursday night to protest Donald Trump's appearance at the New York State Republican Committee's annual gala.
The immigrant advocacy group Make the Road Action, along with several others, are calling on New Yorkers who find themselves at odds with the Republican presidential front-runner to gather outside the Grand Hyatt Hotel Thursday evening where the state GOP plans to host all three Republican hopefuls for a black tie fundraiser that costs $1,000 to attend.
"A collection of organizations and independent New Yorkers are mobilizing to shut down Trump and oppose creeping Trumpism under the banner #HateFreeNY," the group wrote in a press release sent Wednesday.
Nine other groups, including the Muslim Democratic Club of New York and United We Dream Action, joined Make the Road Action in organizing the anti-Trump protests.
I say 100 of us freepers should be sent with a cattle prod in each hand! I'll be the first to go.

A Huge Donald Trump Protest Is About to Hit New York City
At this point, it appears the plan is to fan out on the blocks around Grand Central Terminal—right at rush hour, at an intersection that is perpetually jammed. It's the perfect setup for a sh*t-show—with the groups converging on the hotel from all different directions. In an email, a spokesperson for the New York Police Department told VICE that "an adequate detail of officers will be assigned" to the streets around the event, but that the gala is being held on private property, and therefore will fall under the jurisdiction of the Secret Service.
I got a bad feeling about this. I hope I am wrong.
That should make those that have to be there really happy and supportive of the protestors.
No, let’s be realistic ; a rain of pepper spray filled water balloons would definitely send a message . It would also be harmless . Perhaps launched from unidentifiable offices or residences windows , rather than presumably ‘private property ‘ roof tops would be a bit less dicey .

What’s more interesting to me is the explicit attempt to connect Trump to a bunch of things that he necessarily as a private citizen has zero to do with.

At 5 AM on a chilly morning in New York, hundreds of organizers and protesters were already gathering near the Fox News/News Corp. building in preparation for a series of planned events around a variety of Democrat-aligned issues including raising the minimum wage, union issues, the push for immigration reform, and attacks on leading Republican candidates.
And are apparently drinking and drugging themselves into a frenzy ...
2:23 PM: A government source says that social media posts appear to show protesters pregaming, or drinking in preparation for the evening. While not tagged, the person purportedly in these photos describes herself as an “organizer/activist.”
