The former campaign manager to Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker’s presidential bid has joined Donald Trump’s White House campaign.

Rick Wiley, a GOP strategist with deep ties to the Republican Party, is joining the campaign as its national political director, deepening its bench of veteran GOP operatives with national political experience.

“Rick is a seasoned political expert with a very successful career in winning elections,” Trump said in a statement. “He brings decades of experience, and his deep ties to political leaders and activists across the country will be a tremendous asset as we enter the final phase of securing the nomination.”

He previously served as the Republican National Committee’s national political director and worked as a consultant for the Republican Governors Association and National Republican Senatorial Committee.

No, you would be calling Cruz fans establishment Republican liberals that want to move the party to the left as you have been anytime Cruz hires a Republican assistant. Does this guy work for nothing, or does Trump have some hidden funds he pays him with?

Walker flip floped on so many issues did him in. Iowa didnt know who he really was.

Trump is smart to bring in establishment types like Manafort and Wiley. He is about done with his use for the unsophisticated.

Shouldn’t you Trump folks heads be exploding at this news....

A guy with deep ties to the Republican Party is now part of the Trump team....?

I mean Cruz gets an simple endorsement from a DC insider and he’s been bought and sold by the GOPe...?

Trump actually hires one and it’s a smart move...(it actually is a smart move)

I just love the smell of hypocrisy in the evening...

Trump is taking over the establishment. They now work for him, not the other way around. Don’t forget that the term ‘establishment’ is a broad term that refers to donors, lobbyists, consultants, media and politicians who are united by a common interest in maintaining the status quo. Having said that, the establishment is not some monolith. Consultants work for a paycheck.

Consultants like this guy will be the first to jump ship, because they are the least invested in the system. Ultimately they are employees with a certain expertise, and if they have to change jobs and work for a new boss, it’s not as big a deal for them as for other segments of the establishment.

The donors and the politicians are the main driving force of the establishment. The whole construct is based on their symbiotic relationship. Other elements of the establishment, such as media, lobbyists, and consultants, while they may have a personal and financial attachment to ‘the establishment’, are more peripheral. The essential defining force of the establishment is the donor/politician axis.

“Trump is taking over the establishment. They now work for him,”

So he’s the head of the establishment? LOL. At least you admit it.

Not at all. See, your problem is you throw around terms like ‘establishment’ without even knowing or understanding what they mean. Trump is not part of the establishment, but he is taking over the apparatus of the GOP from the establishment. That’s all. I thought I was talking to someone who was capable of having an intelligent conversation. I see now that I was talking to a troll all along. My bad. We all make mistakes. Keep rejoicing in your stupidity.

“Trump is not part of the establishment,”

Right, but he was for 40 years, he even said so. But about a year ago he magically became anti-establishment, because he said so. And mindless lemmings like you buy into it hook line and sinker.
