The Donald J. Trump for President Meetup will be holding a counterprotest tomorrow, April 14, near the Grand Hyatt on 42nd Street at Lexington Avenue. Their present meeting place is just to the west of the Hyatt on the north side of 42nd Street, in front of the Bolton's store, and the time is 5:30 p.m.
Trump, Kasich, and Cruz will be at the NY Republican state party dinner ($1,000 if you decide to go to that instead) at the Hyatt.
As many of you know, the usual protesters to any Trump event will be there to protest. In addition, the group NY ICE is holding a counterprotest, but they are not Trump supporters, so the Meetup will be doing its own counteprotest.
This is not an official campaign event, just a grassroots operation. Bring homemade signs and wear your Trump clothing if you have it. Small American flags are always good. The usual rules apply: No amplified sound, no signs or flags on hard sticks, stay in your assigned area . . . you know the drill.
It's possible that the NYPD may change their meeting place, so stay in touch with FR for changes, or just ask the cops when you get there or look for the Trump signs.
And any violence will be solely the fault of DT! (/s).

I don’t think they will be doing anything to provoke pepper spray. Anyway, the Meetup people are not going armed with anything. Our police are very used to these events and know how to control them.

Please don't take me wrong but UGGGH! You better damned well be prepared for violence. Bring a helmet and at least a face mask for when the pepper spray starts flying. Personally, I would bring something incongruous to whack any model Democrat citizen getting in my face and not taking "Back Off!" for an answer.

I see that you have been on FR since 2000, so you should know that the scaredy-cats are a constant feature of rally and protest threads. I never figured out whether they were trolls from the other side just people who pee their pants at everything
