NY Q-poll: Trump gets 55% six days out from primary
Hot Air ^ | April 13, 2016 | Ed Morrissey

In Wisconsin, Ted Cruz managed to engineer a 25-point flip in the gap against Donald Trump with intense campaigning — and no small amount of help from Trump himself. Six days out from the New York primary, however, no such momentum has materialized. In the latest poll from Quinnipiac, Trump still dominates with a majority against both Cruz and John Kasich, and looks set to win most if not all of the delegates. The race is closer in the Democratic primary, but still static:

...

Both primaries show a remarkable amount of stasis. As noted, this result is almost identical to the previous Q-poll, with Cruz and Kasich flipping the order on who got 19% or 20%. But it’s not just the Q-poll series, either, as one can see in the Real Clear Politics curation of polling in New York. It lists eight polls for April, and all eight have Trump with a commanding majority.

Don’t expect any change soon in that stasis, either:

Things actually do seem to come full circle. I’d never, ever in my wildest dreams have thought (in the advent of the upcoming NY contest) how New York (imagine!) will show a once great state like Colorado exactly how open and free elections are done.

So, Ted Cruz just sez to Beck, “Donald needs to understand he’s not Michael Corleone. I understand that Donald has had some very shady business deals with people that are currently in prison-mobsters.”

Ought to help him a whole lot in NY. Should see his numbers jump right up.

Would really like to see Trump send Cruz and Kasich into the single digits.

Cruz is trying to provoke Trump into a back and forth spat. Trump isn’t biting. The sniveling Cruz is left to play with himself. What a loser.

Maybe Cruz can get DC madam or his teacher or co-worker to handle it for him?

I am not sure he would call Gov. Palin a “used up hooker.”

Colorado showed us all we need to know about Cruz. He's jumped the shark! He showed his true colors. CO will prove to be a Pyrrhic victory for the Cuban-Canadian.

It pays to preview your posts! This is the post I was replying to in my previous reply. Sorry for any confusion.

By the way, there is a 20% threshold in NY. If you fall under 20%, you do not qualify for delegates. So Trump has a decent shot of taking all 95 if this lead holds.

I'd challenge anyone to name any highly successful business person in New York who has NOT had some very shady business deals with people that are currently in prison-mobsters.

And a good share of the political class as well. Factor in those who BELONG in prison-mobsters and I'd guess the number is very near 100%.

As a deep red conservative in Georgia I never believed I would be supporting a person for President from New York. However, that is where I am and proud of the decision. I am an American first and Southern by the grace of God. Had seven direct ancestors who fought in the Civil War. I was born in Georgia, lived in Georgia except for six months, and if it is God’s desire I will die and be laid down in Georgia.

Trump is far from perfect but the first Presidential candidate since Reagan who I truly believed cared more about the country and her people than the power and riches that come with the office.

NY Q-poll: Trump gets 55% six days out from primary

__________________________________________

Thank you for posting this in Breaking News. It’s been what - hours - since this type of “Trump polls at over 50%” story has been in Breaking.

And I know this is the 30th such story to be posted and reposted in the last 24 hours, but come on! This is all we Trumpers got!

If it weren’t for these endless “Trump polls beter than 50%” stories, why what would we do?

Continue to cry and moan about losing Colorado?

Post another “Cuban Mistress Crisis” story?

Wahhhhh!

That comment from Cruz will help his poll numbers in NY/ x

Did anyone see the interview with Heidi Cruz on the Kelly file? Compare her story of the missionary parents to what Ted has said on the campaign trail.

Does anyone “weed” the corn? We used to use a garden hoe!

Not buying her story!

It seems to me that Trump has not said or tweeted something very controversial in the past several days.

Actually my home town area in NY was where the HUGE mafia bust went down years ago. The whole area up here used to be heavily mafia, but it was one of the safest places to live. Since times have changed, the whole area has gotten seedy and dangerous and disgusting.

IBM was born there. I’ll bet they rubbed elbows plenty with the “mob”. In fact, used to be that if you were walking down the sidewalk half of the other pedestrians were likely “mob” connected. Most of the best restaurants too.

Sneering at that demographic is still a very bad idea.
