Republican delegates are not going to be likely to support either Donald Trump or Texas Sen. Ted Cruz when they get to the party's national convention in July, Ohio Gov. John Kasich said on Sunday.

"Here's what's interesting," Kasich said, suggesting that he was prepared to go down in history. "I am the second choice of both the Cruz people and also the Trump people. As you know, we've had 10 contested conventions, and only three times has the front-runner won. I don't want to go back in history too far, but I think old Honest Abe went into the convention either third or fourth and came out the winner. So we'll see."

Kasich seems like a likeable guy. It’s just that I disagree with him on 90% of the issues.
No way I would vote for him.
ROFL...okay Mr. ONE STATE....what a dick!!!
Trump needs to build a huge mental asylum just for whacked out nut job politicians like Kasich, then round the suckers up and throw away the key.
Too many crazy people in positions of power, lock up the psychos!
We know. The GOPe GOOBERS want another loser like McCain and Romney.
Never going to happen.
Not on the second, third or fourth.
If they succeed in taking down Trump, they will then take down Cruz, and it will be much easier. You can count on that.
Cruz is either going to decide he will stop being the GOPe new fair haired butt boy, or he will go down as one of the most hated figures in the history of the right this country has ever had.
Time to wake up from delusions of grandeur.
They are in it to maintain control of the GOP - or perhaps more accurately, to deny control to anyone who might genuinely represent GOP voters. A Clinton win helps them maintain that control.
Should they ever lose control they will immediately defect, with a certainty approaching unity. I have seen exactly this form of betrayal happen on the state level (see: Bill Bolling's betrayal of Ken Cuccinelli).
For the love of God can we PLEASE dispense with this clown notion that Cruz is not GOPe? At this point it’s just retarded to try and keep that charade going.
Forked Toast, they want to be.
When I talk with the Kasich suckers, most of them are strong left leaners, or they thrive on emotion. A lot of those tell me they "hate" Trump, and that Cruz is too unlikable (think he's a bit of a charlatan).
I have met one couple who are sane that actually like the guy (no idea why), the rest are simply basket cases intellectually.
Don't flatter yourself. We've heard it from every zombie Cruzite for months.
It's Cruz's only play, since he can't win outright.
Lincoln won on the fourth ballot.
That is a fairly easy thing to say if there are only three candidates remaining in the race and you are in third place and the supporters of those in first and second naturally are bitter enemies.
I personally will vote Libertarian rather than vote for Kasich. So he is not my second choice.
“Never going to happen.”
I agree ... what would be the point; to put a candidate in that is guaranteed to lose every swing state. If they steal it from Trump, it will be easier still to give Cruz the boot. That’s why Ted is out there now talking about a second ballot, trying to box them in. It won’t work.
If they are going to steal it, they will steal it for a Ryan, who they believe can win Florida, Virginia ...
Wrong!
Some pollster called and asked about my first choice.
I said “Cruz”.
She asked “second choice”?
I said “Cruz”.
This isn’t a parlor game and I have no obligation to negotiate my terms of surrender.
The GOP treasonists can nominate a tomato for all I care, they are history.
BUMP to your post.
I find it sad that so many Cruz supporters don't understand how he is being used, or what for.
Yes, I think so, too.
For those who watched Kasick in the debates-—they know he’s got a screw loose.
