To accommodate the perceived wishes of a very small number of people, the federal government and many states are placing women and girls at risk of rape and assault in restrooms.
There are about a mere 700,000 transgender individuals in the U.S., or 0.3% of the adult population. As John Hinderaker correctly notes -- that makes them almost as rare as unicorns.
It doesnt take a genius to realize that allowing men who decide they really want to be women to use womens restrooms is a dangerous idea: not to the wise men of Charlotte, North Carolina who passed an ordinance allowing men to use womens restrooms if they believed they were mistakenly inhabiting mens bodies. Wiser heads in the North Carolina legislature prevailed and passed a law barring cities from adopting anti-discrimination laws that are inconsistent with, or in addition to, the laws in effect at the state level, which already cover race, religion, national origin, color, age, biological sex and handicaps.

To signal their belief that the transgendered have more rights than women and girls who want to be free of assault, rape, and child molestation when at their most vulnerable, the governors of New York and Minnesota, responded by banning nonessential travel state employee travel to that state. (One wonders why they just didnt ban all non-essential out of state travel, but that would be too fiscally responsible, I suppose.) PayPal cancelled a planned center in Charlotte. Apples CEO Tim Cook was one of several high-profile tech CEOs who signed a letter to Republican Gov. Pat McCrory calling on him to repeal the legislation.

I wear Hawaiian shirts all the time. I think they are great for summer.
Nope...Just protective of my children...and all children for that matter...
Don’t be so gullible. Slapping a “womens” or a “mens” sign on a bathroom door won’t keep perverts away.
But they can be COVICTED for entering there...Do you need to look up the definition of convicted?
Exactly.
The ex-Mayor of Houston, Annise Parker, a queer lesbian threw her full support last fall to a local bill, HERO. Hero would have allowed transgenders into women's restrooms. Hero was resoundingly defeated this past Nov 2015 to the dismay of the all the queers, lesbians and transgenders in Houston. Parker was furious after her bill went down in defeat and stated so in the Houston Chronicle the day after the election.
HERO Defeated By Wide Margin

No, the real problem is that they will use way too much fresh water using the flush toilets. Where is the EPA when you need them???
If they are committing a crime, they should be convicted no matter where they enter. Building out separate bathrooms is not the answer. It’s tough enough running a business these days without worrying about building yet another public restroom at your facility. I would not blame business owners if they stopped building public bathrooms altogether. But most likely, the government will make laws requiring it if they haven’t already.
If you’ve got XX chromosomes, you use the women’s restroom...
If you’ve got XY chromosomes, you use the men’s rstroom...
it doesn’t matter what you “think” you are...
As reparations for the rampant heterophobia that is sweeping this nation I demand unfettered access to all the bank vaults in the country!
I feel bad for business owners. If I were them, I would just brick them over and make people fend for themselves. The public at large is proving themselves unworthy of public bathroom privileges. So much immaturity and silliness out there with regard to basic body functions. The rest of the civilized world must be laughing at the USA.
As someone who was once menaced on a New York City bus (as the entire bus was that day) by either a drag queen or a transgendered GUY with long, blood-red nails, I’d say many of them are a major problem. Angel dust, meth, you name it, they use it. Here in NYC I’ve seen plenty of bizarre and scary behavior by gay men high on drugs, drag queens, transgenders and backstage lesbo technies. Somebody was just raped at the Stonewall Inn, their version of the stable in Bethlehem.
I’m not arguing for a separate bathromm for LGBT’s...Just use the bathroom for the gender you were born with...
None of this “I think I’m a girl” BS...
0bama, Loretta Lynch, the DOJ and Education Dept. and all the RAT PARTY and Lieberals ARE WAGING A WAR ON WOMAN!!!!
shout it from the housetops the RATS HATE WOMEN!!
I could really care less if a bull-dyke comes in the Men’s
Men at not really at risk here.
Mark the RESTROOMs
XX | XY
problem solved.
That works fine...Except for kids who don’t yet know what means...Put it under the little male/female pictures...That works...
Bump!
Wow, it would be weird for me to go to a Walmart bathroom with men. Weird. Better start carrying my gun.
“To accommodate the perceived wishes of a very small number of people,..”
Not it isnt. It is to habituate a massive majority to accepting, from some amorphous authority, ANYTHING without question. The stupider the better.
Personally I want the mens bathroom to be a woman-free zone as well. No place being in there, and half the time I don’t either.
I find it hard to believe I have to state such a simple truth, that mens bathrooms are for men, and womens bathrooms are for women, and they should stay the hell out of the others.
