In an interview, Mr. Giuliani, the former mayor of New York who has been uncharacteristically quiet in the last week about the Republican primary, said that he was planning to vote for Mr. Trump in the states primary on April 19, over Senator Ted Cruz of Texas and Gov. John Kasich of Ohio.
Hes my friend, and I think of the candidates, of the choices that I have, hes the best choice for president, Mr. Giuliani said. Hes a better choice than Cruz and a more realistic choice than Kasich.

Excellent!
Sounds like an endorsement to me....
NYT’s spin, spin, spin LOL!-)
RINO brigade to the rescue!
I find this more interesting there was a publicized meeting with Cruz....my bet Cruz went to deliver a GOPe threat ...
the GOP establishment is already said they’re going to blackball and punish anybody that supports Trump
Rudy is endorsing without using the word endorsement ...the GOPe is really turning the screw
Good news!
I like Rudy.
Meeting between Rudy and ted was supposed to be today.
Never happened.
To the rest of the non-lawyer world this is an endorsement. This will help in New York City where Rudy is very well liked by the people who pull the wagon and will be voting in the primary and November. BTW for those New York haters out there New York does probably pull the wagon people in your town sit in.
Twice divorced, anti-gun, pro-abortion New Yorker voting for Trump. Sounds about right.
Rudy was as rabidly anti-gun as Bloomberg. People forget that Rudy was the one who started the frivolous lawsuit, aimed at shutting down all gun manufacturers.
Really???? Never happened.????
sure sounds like some kind of message was conveyed
else why the cute cryptic “endorsement” without using the word “endorsement”.....
you must admit Rudy is doing an oddly oblique semantics tap dance here... it’s not his normal nature......( I’m voting for Trump, Trump the best choice... but I won’t say the magic words “I endorse Trump” ......what the hell’s that?)..
and this twisted verbal strangeness comes within a few hours after a planed Cruz that for some reason now never happened?
say what you will but admit some bizarre things here
the GOPe has given Cruz the greenlight to be the henchmen to do it what every they wants to do the take out Trump.....
this is beyond arm-twisting now we’re into twisting arms off
Or do you really think the GOPe is going to let everybody follow their conscience when it comes to Donald Trump...
that there’s no political Hardball going on behind the scenes right now .....come on!!!!... no one’s that naive
People forget?
You show a lot of disrespect to “people” on this forum with your snotty, uncalled for remark.
Trust the NY Slimes to make it sound like Giuliani isn't endorsing him. If you say you're voting for someone and that they're the best candidate running, you are endorsing!
Sounds like the meeting with Cruz didn’t go well ... for Cruz.
But president is not capitalized. So he did not endorsse Trump for president, but he is the best choice for president. This is what an endorsement for Amway or what?
truth is I’ll tell you right now if Trump hadn’t started out made hardcore statement about the illegals the GOPe probably be lgoing with him.....
the statements about illegals and trade... they believe Trump means exactly what he says on those... that’s what driving the establishment nuts.....
that’s money....
The DC establishment uniparty is more afraid of Trump then they are socialist Bernie Sanders....
I make bets there even stopping a crazy person Fall Guy to remove Trump should he ever get close now
Rudy in a dress gets smooch from Trump
Spent the weekend in NYC. First time in many years. Everyone’s talking about the election: cabbies, waiters, newspaper salesmen, people on the subways. Most I heard were supporting Trump, but the tacky souvenir shops in Times Square did have some anti-trump t-shirts and signs. NYC is still benefitting from Giuliani’s clean-up of the city, but there are some warning signs. Very little police presence in the subway system and poorer neighbourhoods, but lots in Times Square, Central Park, 5th Avenue, Grand Central, museums and the luxury hotels. If you reduce the foot patrols - and limit there ability to stop and question - I can see some of the areas outside of the core tourist stops sliding back into the old ways.
