It’s the propaganda thrust

Cruz's speech last night was propaganda (party uniting behind him, he has a path to the 1237, he can beat Hillary, etc.) ... followed by a brainless repetition of every other stump speech he has given. Throw the worshipers a piece of red meat, pause while they adore him, throw another one.

I'm having a hard time figuring out if he is actually serious (in which case he is a deluded fool) ... or if he is just playing the political game he is suppose to play.

The Media and the Political Pundits holy mantra is “which candidate can win the Moderates and Independents” as they are who decides elections.

So far, Trump crushes Cruz in this demo meaning Ted Cruz has no chance at all in the General. None. Zilch. Nada.

The GOPe want Paul Ryan and they intend to nominate him. And they will run over Trump, and then Cruz, to do it.

A perfect example of the NeverTrump media doing it’s thing. Big media, big business and big government, all in lock step together, are terrified of Trump.

Well, since math is on everyone’s mind these days, the fact is that Trump will also likely be mathematically eliminated in a few weeks after Cruz’s ‘elimination’.

I think we can safely say, both our candidates (I’m a Cruzer) will not get the 1237 needed prior to the convention.

I’m ready for multiple ballots - are you?

“Further, it is amusing that the Trump supporters focus on the “establishment” meme. Liberal RINO Christie is a member of that group, but no one the Trump side whipped out the establishment epithet when he endorsed their favorite candidate.”

Thank you making a good point. Our Trump supporters conveniently forget Christie’s (remember the Obama hug Trumpettes?) endorsement and active support.

[Wisconsin was always favoring Cruz, just like New York favors Trump.]

That’s not true. Trump was leading WI, until Cruz surged.

The part that caught my attention were the words “Lyin’ Ted Cruz “ which we’ve seen used here on FR many times.

Its quite apparent they have talking points (scripts) they are supposed to stick too.

We’re supposed to think its all organic support but I suspect he’s doing the same thing Soros does, he buys his support.

What will they call Trump’s 30 point beat down of Ted in NY?

The natural outcome of a state full of liberal Republicans (pro-choice, pro-Wall Street) voting for a conservative Democrat (Trump) running as a Republican, who just happens to share their values, or did until he (Trump) decided to pay lip service to the conservative cause in order to run.

Duh!

Trump has no chance in a general election.

GO CRUZ!

Trump’s nasty sore loserman statement was over the top as usual. This could well be the turning point for Cruz.

“Having said that, it has to be either him or Cruz, otherwise even I, as a Cruz supporter, will ‘take to the streets’. It can’t be someone who has not put in the effort to run, spend time on the trail, etc.”

I would agree. I think the GOP is going to do it though.

Wisconsin was always favoring Cruz, just like New York favors Trump. About as relevant as the Battle of the Bulge would be towards Germany winning WWII.

Tell that to all the Trump fans pushing this poll before the count yesterday:

Trump’s a fighter. When I read that, I knew he’s as strong as ever. Love the comparison of Cruz to a trojan horse. Another nickname for Cruz. We need Trump to continue the in your face approach which is what everybody came to love about him in the first place. Our country is in trouble. Now’s not the time to bow to the establishment like Lyin Ted is doing.

If you want to talk math, the goal here is not for Cruz to get 1237, but to prevent Trump from getting 1237.

Not what he said last night ...

If the goal is to stop Trump from getting 1237 then he should run on that platform.

"My message and my platform is not popular enough to win when the people cast votes ... but its good enough to prevent the one who has the overwhelming lead from getting the nomination."

He hates Trump more than he loves America.

In two weeks ... Cruz will be Kasich ... and anyone who votes for them is an idiot.
