Well said

There is also a possibly valid reality that Trump just entered the race for even more publicity, etc, but was as surprised as anyone when his campaign took off.

He has obviously never been prepared for any debate, could never financially survive putting all his properties and investments in a blind trust, and obviously has no idea how to actually DO anything in government.

Listening to Trump is like listening to every bartender, taxi driver or women’s hair dresser in the world. They all claim they have the answer to every problem too. The only difference is, they will tell you what their “magic answer” is, not just promise one.

Hey, if you want to root for your liberal wolf in sheep’s clothing, go right ahead. I seriously doubt Cruz gives a flip about your opinion - he’s working to get the nomination on the second ballot.

After Cruz does, you can then vote for an out of the closet liberal (Hillary or Bernie) instead of the hidden liberal in the general election. I hear many folks coming out of the closet have a sudden sense of relief once they admit to what they are - I’m sure you will feel that way, too.

Cruz was predicted to win it two weeks ago

The polls were right in this case

The very last poll that came out, the ARG poll, had tRump winning by 10 points, and tRumpbots on FR were all over that poll, and swore that tRump was going to win Wisconsin.

We have argued on this thread and disagreed but there have been nothing like the vicious attacks that I am, unfortunately, so familiar with.

From what I see, you don't argue or disagree, you just insult and derided.

For you of all posters to complain about vicious attacks is beyond the scope of comprehension.

You would think Cruz not only won the Super Bowl, but was named MVP

You mean to say he wasn't? My whole day is ruined.......
:-)

Don't give up yet 'Shark ol' pal, before the game is over Quarterback Cruz will heave one of those 'Hail Teddy' passes from one end of the field to the other, and he'll end up winning *exactly nothing*.

And Glenn Beck will self-crucify himself in protest.

Once again for the learning impaired...

The GOPe/RNC cabal is trying to deny Trump the nomination.

Trump has 61% of the delegates awarded so far. Last I checked, 61% of more than half.

Whether you like it or not, I don’t not agree that Ted at 41% of the current delegates should be able to seal the nomination away.

Did you back the GOPe/RNC over the last few years? Why are you doing it now?

“We’re not really sure we even know who they all are.”

We don’t know what we don’t know.

What we do know about Trump is he is not a conservative.

If there is a case to be made that Trump is a conservative, I’ll listen with an open mind.

>> the insights gained from the naturalization laws of 1790 and 1795 show that Washington wouldn’t have considered Ted Cruz to be a natural born citizen <<

Sorta correct, because one or both of those laws said that for somebody born abroad to be considered as natural-born, the FATHER had to be a US citizen. The mother was not mentioned.

So just try persuading the 53% of current USA voters who are female that their citizenship doesn’t really have the same full status as that of males. Lotsa luck with that!

Given the lack of love of Hillary and Bernie voters for Trump, I don’t see very many Dems voting for Trump. If Trump loses due to maneuvers at a Convention, well here’s Bernie!

So picture this race in Ohio: Sanders gets 51%, Cruz or Ryan gets 32%, Trump gets 16%. Result, Sanders gets the electoral votes.

I can’t believe that anyone thinks Trump running as an independent would do anything besides cause the Republicans to lose. When Nader ran, the Dems lost. When Perot ran, Bush lost.

In 1912, Teddy Roosevelt ran as 3rd party and Wilson won 40 states (435 electoral votes) with only 41% of the popular vote.

The controlling law is the Immigration and Nationality Act, Pub. L. No. 82-414 § 301(a)(7), 66 Stat. 163, 236 (1952).

The foreign-born child is not a citizen if the citizen parent does not meet the requirements of this statute. The foreign-born child is not a

citizen by birth, the foreign-born child is a citizen by statute. A citizen by statute is a naturalized citizen.

Here’s a question. How about someone born overseas, to a mother that is Canadian but her husband is American?

Could the issue be forced, to do a DNA test, to prove that the husband actually is the father?

What if the biological father of the presidential candidate turned out not to be an American?

Heidi Cruz endorses the CFR plan for a North American Union. This plan calls for dissolving borders.

The other part of both laws said that the father also had to show himself resident in the US. Cruz’s father had already shown himself desiring to be a Canadian by the point of Cruz’s birth.

So, by that provision as well as that of the ‘father’ being the citizen, Cruz would have failed in Washington’s time.

I don’t dispute that today’s law says Cruz is a citizen at birth and that legal thinking seems to equate the two. There has never been a court case focused on that particular issue.

We do not know that Trump is not a conservative.

Trump says he converted to conservatism. His actions since 2011 support that.

In reality, his and Cruz’s policies/positionsf are really close to each other.
