Sen. Ted Cruz was projected to win the Wisconsin primary Tuesday, delivering a stunning blow to GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump and resetting the race as it heads east later this month.

>> Since he only wears it while in public Id say it would be a minor consideration compared to the travel <<
Interesting. I’ve never worn body armor, so I hope an expert out there can enlighten us.
But even if Mr. Trump only wears armor for rallies and other public events, it would seem to me that putting it on/taking it off has gotta be stressful for a 69-year old guy, especially if he needs to go thru the routine three times per day.
Anyway, when you add the possible stress from body armor (a) to the travel stress and (b) to the stress induced by the very act of public speaking for hour-long stretches, then I’d say the overall regimen can’t be easy for a senior citizen like Mr. Trump — in spite of the testosterone and vitamin B12 injections I’ll bet he’s receiving.
Do you think women who have their babies killed are innocent?
That question should be truthfully answered by Mr. Trump.
What do you think his truthful answer would be?
The Field story is not something anyone will hang their hats on with too much evidence that nothing happened. So, that’s a dead story.
The pro-life issue has some legs, but more than anything, it demonstrates that not one single soul in politics or pro-life organizations is actually pro life. They want women to be able to arrange the killing of their babies and be innocent.
But, the ‘right answer’ is to say that, no matter how illogical it is....or murderous.
Personally, I don’t care that he retweeted an ugly picture of Heidi Cruz. Nor do I care that his wife was targeted. That was just a side dust up.
What I do care about is jobs, the border, trade....I imagine women care as much about those things as do men.
So, the best way for Trump to appeal to women is to appeal to jobs, immigration, security, etc.
It’s not like women are fragile little things who don’t concern their silly little heads with actual issues, but are more concerned with who dissed whose picture.
Perhaps you've failed to figure out our problem with Trump is that he will get smashed in the general election, and all the things want him to do will have zero chance of coming to pass. This assumes he'll actually do what he says, despite evidence to the contrary.
With Cruz, you'd have someone with a track record to back up his rhetoric, not Clinton Foundation donations, a la Trump.
His initial answer was the correct answer. He said that if abortions are illegal, then there should be a consequence for breaking the law, that the woman, too, should be punished.
Then he got politically correct, too, and backed away from it because all the supposed ‘conservative’ candidates and talking heads where ‘aghast’.
So, he would have done far better doubling down with his logic, and calling them to task for their so-called pro-life views.
ANY truthful answer can ONLY be that a woman who arranges the murder of her child is also guilty. That’s just logical.
That’s what I did....I’ve looked for, but cannot find anything that supports this coming from Trump.
Not saying it didn’t, but it just seems odd that there’s no vid, official site links, etc.
Maybe someone will find a vid of Trump saying this. (Or a statement denying it came from them.) Until then, or until he/his campaign posts it on one of their official sites, I’m skeptical.
Thanks for your reasoned reply/discussion. Much appreciated.
>> Looks like it’s becoming disorganized and coming off the tracks <<
Yesterday, I noticed that very same description of Mr. Trump’s campaign in a “Politico” article.
But I was told on FR that the description couldn’t possibly be accurate since:
(a) the source (Politico) could never be trusted; and
(b) Mr. Trump is an organizational genius, I guess because he has developed several hotels, casinos, strip clubs, golf courses and spas.
Therefore, you can be absolutely 100% certain that Mr. Trump’s campaign is fantastically well-organized and that it is still squarely on the tracks. Issue settled.
If Cruz losing the entirety of the south is not a “stunning blow”, then how can this be?
Give me some time and I’ll do a little searching myself. It is odd that something this important would be released and then apparently pulled back.
Just like he was going to win South Carolina and the “SEC Primary”? And stun people in Illinois and Michigan...and Florida?
Actually, the Wisconsin GOP establishment - led by former Gov. Tommy Thompson - were supporting John Kasich...and finished third.
So enlighten us as to the magical tale of woo about how Ted Cruz is going to win the general election.
Go ahead. This will be hilarious.
“Cruz was predicted to win it two weeks ago
The polls were right in this case”
No poll predicted Cruz to get 48%.
RCP average was 39%
I don’t think so. I think Trump led for a little bit, maybe a month or so ago.
Are you having a bad day?
Tut, tut. I think you're being far too harsh.
Let's just say that rules are for the little people, whereas a world-historic leader of Mr. Trump's heroic stature should and must rise above the petty rules, regulations and laws that govern the affairs of lesser beings.
