Sen. Ted Cruz is out-hustling Donald Trump and looks set to ensure many Arizona delegates will defect to him in a convention floor fight.
The Texas senator, who ever since Iowa has played a stealthy ground game in contrast to Trump's chaotic populism, is taking steps to snatch the Republican presidential nomination from The Donald at the convention in July.
The New York businessman easily won last month's Arizona primary taking 47 percent to Cruz's 25 percent, scooping up all 58 of the state's delegates. That's nearly 5 percent of the 1,237 Trump needs for the nomination, and they're tied are to him on the first ballot.
But Cruz, exploiting deep opposition to Trump among grassroots Republicans, has been far more active in Arizona than Trump, insiders say. He's recruiting candidates for the available 55 delegate slots, that along with the other three delegate positions filled by party leaders, would be allowed to vote for him in a multi-ballot contested convention.

You and I want a more conservative guy, but the fact is that we also want someone to end the corrupt establishment and it is something I thought we all did, I guess now when I see some now helping the establishment.
I want that border closed , because if we have no border we do not have a country and everything after doe snot count anymore.
I do not want people running giving out teddy bears to illegals and they come into the country.
I hear that. It's like the cruzers are an undistinguishable herd of stampeding cattle running wildly ...and about to go over the cliff.
You miss the point entirely. They pretend to be but have been debased.
I’m not sure. I know they accuse Trump supporters of being cultish in their support of him. But, it seems that a lot of Cruz supporters appear to being guilty of projection.
I see, so because you said it, it is so.
I agree, there are enough morons in the world to hang on to this crap, lust like people who think Elvis is still alive, 9/11 is an inside job and Daddy Longlegs are the most poisonous spiders on the planet.
Question tho, how do you ‘disprove’ infidelity? Boils down to your word versus theirs right?
Trump better get on this pronto.
Perhaps we are arguing past each other without making a succinct point, and if so, it is my post that started the exchange.
I simply think that this is a hard fought convention and neither candidate is entitled to anything until they have an outright majority OR the primary/convention process nominates them.
Don’t go confusing the issue with facts.
I notice that Mr Cruz and Mr Kasich suddenly seem to have no money worries.
You serious? Cruz is sending delegates up to pose as Trump supporters in order to dishonestly infiltrate his delegate numbers. Why would you applaud deception like this?
GOPe to the rescue.
my first primary and it makes no sense to me, how it is set up..
Yep, both Ted’s career and the GOP GONE in the same election.
That my friend is a two for right there.
Incorrect. Not because I said anything. It's what people remember hearing; it's what people remember reading. Has nothing to do with me.
Question tho, how do you disprove infidelity? Boils down to your word versus theirs right?
I'm not concerned with proving or disproving anything. It's up to Cruz to disprove his diddlin' with all those nasty women. And in the meantime, folks will remember all this. It's doesn't go away. Folks have memories. When folks go to the polls tomorrow in Wisconsin, one can only wonder how many will not vote for Cruz because of the allegations of his cheating. That cloud -that stigma- remains over Ted's head.
“What Cruz is doing isn’t a fair election process. It’s a coup by the ruling elite. Keep in mind that three of the worst of the ruling elite....Priebus, Walker, and Ryan, are from Wisconsin.”
Maybe 2 million ANGRY men showing up in Cleveland will change their cowardly minds?
To save our Democracy, they need to throw out the vote.
Great idea, how difficult can it be to pose as a Trump supporter?
“DUH, Donald can pay off $19T in debt in 8 years by cutting welfare, and still have leftover $$$ for tax cuts , and funding social security and Medicare
He ran businesses.”
I wonder how many of us Trump voters will cast a vote for Ted should he win by this way?
But the party primaries are not a representational process, thats the point. The rules are malleable.
The entire primary political machinery has developed (since when, I have no idea) into a system that excludes voters from any real power. It’s beyond disgusting and has to change, one damned way or another. I think millions of us see this clearly now.
