At the March 29th rally in Janesville Wisconsin, outlined several ideas one of which was do away with 501C3 status of churches which he says contributed to the pulpit being silenced in the political world and infringe upon free speech.
He speaks the truth on this. The other way is to have no rules attached to the 501c status.
It is breathtaking how thoroughly we have begun following the model of the Soviet Union.
Two female employees talking about low mortgage interest rates as low as 2 to 3 percent about 7 years ago, listening from a distance I interrupted and asked how I can get these rates and they told me it wasn’t for me. These two females were black and associated with thier church who were getting money from the government to redistribute this to thier congregation who was taking thier vig as well. Nice! this is our tax dollars
Some are more equal than others. Black churches are always openly involved in politics, and no one ever threatens them with revoking their tax exempt status. Democrat politicians are always speaking in black churches.
I’ve been a first hand witness of this very thing also. And they don’t try to cover it up nor are they in any way ashamed of doing this and using a church to do it. It took me a long time to figure out why they really didn’t care about their century old church building, which fascinated me because of its history. They looked at me like I had two heads when I offered to help restore it. It was just a front for them. The many hours of work I spent getting it on the National Register of Historic places meant zilch to them.
Exactly, it silenced the mainstream Churches and now we’re reaping the rewards of a bought and paid for beholden pulpit,
The rules on political speech were driven through Congress by LBJ.We should rescind those as they have been unequally enforced and are a bad idea.
They have nothing to do with the Constitution.
It is amazing that the Constitution is so clear that Congress (government) shall make NO law prohibiting the free exercise of religion.
Yet, 501(c)(3) has spawned efforts to do just that.
Why? Because the church is huge, it has its own communication networks, it’s wealthy, and when a sizeable portion of it speaks with one mind on a subject, then it turns trends away from the direction favored by various power groups.
In short, it is dangerous, and powerful people resent that portion of the Constitution that says it cannot be touched, so they’ve installed oligarchs in black robes who say that it can.
Maybe he knows that churches are accepting fed money to warehouse illegals.
The American Revolution started in the pulpit. The gov knows that it must control the churches as we drive over the cliff of Socialism.
But if a white Christian pastor speaks out against homosexuality, he is being discriminatory and the church should lose its tax exempt status.
The fasicts do control the churches, totally.
Billionaires have sought to end the tax free status of churches for 100 years no. It’s why they all have “foundations” to shelter their wealth. They also advocated for welfare state to do the sort of charity that churches used to provide.
Mr. Trump believes in big government.
“”Black churches are always openly involved in politics””
Hillary was shown on the news just last week appearing and speaking in a black church with nary a word of complaint from the newscaster.....She sure wasn’t there to attend Sunday School.
If look at the landscape, most "non-profits" are Leftist organizations who use their tax-exempt status to let their endowments grow tax-free, and let their Leftist friends use the place as a tax shelter.
Case in point, the "Clinton Foundation".
How about we scrap the IRS tax code in its entirety and instead adopt a flat tax of 10%...
Why is it that ONLY Trump brings up such issues?
If not for Trump (and Jeff Sessions) we would already have amnesty. And Obama would have taken in so many more Muslims.
All the others running seem to be yap dogs.
Churches should pay taxes. A lot of abuse would stop if they did. Also, churches not paying property taxes puts a dents in a small town's budget and someone has to fill that hole. It's the other property owners that do. Churches who don't pay taxes are thieves.
