Donald Trump announced the formation of a U.S. House leadership committee on Thursday, further signaling his shift toward the general election.
The Republican presidential front-runner's latest outreach effort to lawmakers on Capitol Hill will be led by Reps. Duncan Hunter of California and Chris Collins of New York, who have previously endorsed Trump.
"Congressman Hunter and Congressman Collins are conservative stalwarts," Trump said. "I am honored to have the support of these two well-respected members of Congress who share my vision of securing our borders, strengthening our military, treating our veterans with the respect and care they deserve and putting Americans first again."

I predict that Trump, being the businessman/dealmaker he is, will find a way to make a deal with the GOPe to get the nomination and RNC support in the general.
Count on it.
It will be interesting to watch all the Trump supporters’ reaction to that.
Duncan Hunter is a gem. Great resume. He was involved with passing The Fence Act 2006.
Conservative Review rates Hunter a D at 67% and Collins as an F at 30% Collins evens seems to find that most conservative positions are "extreme"
I supported Duncan the elder during his Presidential bid.
Would love to see his son, as a Trump VP pick.
They need to get a blessing from the Pop of Conservatism: Levin.

I think that was Duncan Hunter SR. and this Duncan Hunter is his son.
I tried to read his score are at Conservative Review, but got a pop up saying I had to subscribe.
Not sure why. I never signed up. I stay away form giving out my email address to political sites. The deluge of emails for donations can be bothersome. Sorry.
Give up your info to hear what Mark levin thinks! Lol
I think all rational supporters expect such a negotiation. It is the function of the President to govern the nation and to work with the congress to get the job done.
It is not the president’s duty to toe the line drawn by diehard conservatives with an agenda that is irrational.
I got as far down as he voted for a highway infrastructure bill which was not considered a conservative vote. Everything above that showed conservative/yes.
Hunter has a rating of 88 at the ACU and 74 at heritage,
Collins is 79 and 50.
The CR is a hack site.
Good Hunting... from Varmint Al
Yup, me too. It coulld help with CA vote too.

Very impressive. A young, hard working. Major in the Marine corps, who saw sandbox combat twice, and a buisnessman would, among other things, straighten out the VA quick.
He's most likely certainly more ethical and patriotic than Paul Ryan, Kasich, Cruz, Romney, or any of the other slimey potential VP candidates..
I haven’t been that impressed with him. I supported his father when he ran for President, so it might just be that in comparison I don’t find him as conservative as his father.
“Duncan Hunter is a gem. Great resume. He was involved with passing The Fence Act 2006.”
Actually, that was Duncan’s dad who authored and got the Fence act passed. He ran for pres in 2008 (and should have won, but they (mostly RNC) did the same crap to him they are doing to Trump) He gave up his seat that year.......UNLIKE TED CRUZ who keeps his senate job and lets YOU pay him to run.
The younger Hunter ran after serving in Iraq and won the Calif. seat.
“I tried to read his score are at Conservative Review, but got a pop up saying I had to subscribe.”
That’s Levin’s little endeavor. He sold out!
