White House press secretary Josh Earnest on Wednesday condemned Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump
Corey Lewandowski is accused of grabbing the arm of a reporter after a Trump press conference in Florida earlier this month.
“I am confident that neither President Obama nor President Bush would tolerate someone on their staff being accused of physically assaulting a reporter, lying about it and then blaming the victim,” Earnest told reporters.
Earnest said Trump's response to the Lewandowski incident, as well his other controversial actions, is "completely outside the realm of acceptable behavior.”

The charge of simple battery is bogus
it will be pleaded down to a double parking ticket, pay a $200 fine plus court costs and that will be the end of it

If Trump had immediately fired him, the WH would probably say, “see Trump doesn’t stand by his campaign manager in a ridiculous charge, how can you trust someone like that to have the country’s back when times get tough.” Cruz, of course, would be saying the exact same thing.
It should not go that far and I don't think it will. The fact that Trump stands by his people and is not swayed by the mob is a badge of honor in my mind.
