260,000 Vets Stripped of Their Gun Rights With a Single VA Gun Regulation

Two Senate Republicans are trying to find out why 260,000 vets have been stripped of their gun rights. The Veterans Affairs office has made it a practice to report veterans to the FBI’s National Instant Criminal Background Check system.

If veterans need help doing paper work, they lose their rights. It’s clearly a violation of the Second Amendment.

Any veteran who is assigned a fiduciary trustee to act on their behalf is automatically declared “mentally defective” and is reported to NICS, the database Federal Firearms Licensees use to determine whether a prospective buyer is eligible to buy guns.

Social Security is trying to do the same thing. Or has. WTH? I had to fill out some VA paperwork recently and there was a disturbing trend in regards to this issue. When referencing a particular physician they kept saying something about observations of mental state. For hearing or back related issues? Watch what you say and do around any VA facility. Or any MD in or out of the system. PTSD? Say bye bye.

IIRC, most of the mass murderers have been college students or former students. I think one had been kicked out of the Army after a month. This seems to be an attack on veterans by the Obama regime. JMO.

The 2nd amendment is for politicians that infringe on the 2nd amendment and should be shot.

Yep. Gonna declare every one mentally defective to get our guns, especially seniors. People will stop reporting symptoms of depression, because the government will use it against them. I’m very careful what I say to my doctors now.

Lose a job, don’t tell them you are depressed. Have a death in the family, don’t tell them you are depressed. Don’t fill out any doctor’s questions on whether you own a gun. It’s not required, YET!

Anyone thinks that this unconstitutional act by the VA is not a test run for doing it through Obamacare is delusional.

Is George Soros buying ‘speeches’ from these Congressional crooks?

Or is he buying their ‘books’?

Another one of 0bama’s legacies. He hates the military and he doesn’t want normal, non-violent people to have guns.

The VA is a weird place. My uncle is a decorated combat vet of WW2 and Korea. They turned him down for long-term care because he was “combative”.

Yeah, ya’ll knew that in 1943. That’s why you dropped him on Saipan.

Now everyone should see why the number one priority for the gun controllers is the "universal background check": once they have it in place and ALL firearms transfers require NCIS approval, they can keep adding "prohibited" groups to the list and close the openings in the net.

Next, they'll make being a "prohibited person" disqualifying for all firearms possession (as they already do in many states) and they will come and get the guns.

Gun Control - the rescinding of the Second Amendment by other unconstitutional means.

I got out of the navy back in 1970, got married and went back to college on the GI Bill. My wife had insurance through her employer, so I never had to avail myself of the VA's services (except for the GI Bill) because I was enrolled on my wife's insurance. Later after I graduated I got full time employment and obtained my insurance from my employer.

I'm glad for that, I had no idea all the crap it would lead to if I had gone to VA for medical care.

My wife and I both know how to answer any doctor's questions about guns in the home. We would just smile sweetly and reply "no, of course not". Then we would change doctors.

Thankfully, that's never been a problem.

Here’s how things are at the little VA hospital I go to.

The first thing you see as you walk in the door is the police station.

There is no money at the hospital, but they have a police station.

The nurse showed me the panic button that have in the exam room. They press it and the VA police will come running.

And the VA police are carrying pistols.

They mean to intimidate you.

This leads to abuse by the VA employees. They feel they can say or do anything because they are protected by armed enforcers.

They treat the Veterans like they are enemies.

And we pay their salaries.

Possibly why a lot of folks will simply ignore the UBC and go about their private daily lives.

I’m very careful what I say to my doctors now.

Yes, stick strictly to physical symptoms. Don't trust your doctor, but certainly don't tell your doctor your don't trust them.

The good news is that most medical practices see you as a customer instead of a person, so they aren't likely to waste non-compensated time to drill down. As long as they can fill in the blanks for billing on their tablet or laptop, they won't press.

296 days.

That's like saying when the dog leaves, the yard will be clean.

There's still a lots of turd-bombs lying around, waiting to be cleaned up.

Will a Trump or a Cruz do that? Eviscerate the VA, EPA, IRS, Justice, CPS, just to name a few agencies that need a thorough cleaning of Leftists, from the top down?

Doubtful.

Hey. I got out of the Navy in 1970 too. Did we serve on different ships together? LOL! The only reason I’ve entered in to the VA system is because my former employer dropped all of their former employees that are medicare eligible. I used to get a med through the old employee medical for $40 for a 3 month supply. Once kicked out, with my medicare part D supplement the cost would have been a mere $1200.00/mth. After about 6 months without it and battling the VA, I finally got approved for the med. Has to be a VA doc that issues the scrip. Now the cost is down to $9.00/mth. Kinda works for me a little better than the $1200/mth. Of course without the Part D it’s a mere $4000/mth. My retirement ain’t quite up to that.
