Ted Cruz declined to answer a question on Monday about whether he has ever been unfaithful to his wife Heidi.
'Senator Cruz,' DailyMail.com asked him, 'can you please swat down more definitively this National Enquirer piece by telling us on the record that you've never been unfaithful to your wife?'
The National Enquirer published a story last Wednesday that speculated about five women with whom the Republican presidential candidate was rumored to have had extramarital affairs.
Cruz has batted down the specifics of the story on numerous occasions since it appeared in supermarket checkout lanes.
But instead of making a blanket declaration that he has been faithful during the entirety of his 14-year marriage – a move that would effectively end the vicious news cycle – Cruz stood silently as campaign surrogate Carly Fiorina leapt in to intercept the question and change the subject.

You're not the posting authority here. There is a basic hypocrisy in attacking Cruz for an unproven unfaithfulness while excusing Trump for bragging about unfaithfulness (nowhere has anyone posted that he was sorry he did it. It's not like Trump is repentant. He was boasting about how many married women he slept with...).
I think the difference is that Trump never claimed to be everything Ted claimed.
“Most people” voted for Obama twice. Hardly the gold standard...
Then why did Trump hold up a Bible and say he read the Bible more than anybody else? I mean I was shocked he didn’t get shocked when he was lying that time!

I believe the claim that Glenn Beck made was that Ted was chosen by God to be president. I suppose I am being nit-picky but that doesn’t describe Jesus, or His return. Prior to the incarnation God gave the Jewish people many prophets, Elijah, Moses, Abraham, David. None of them were the Messiah. Speaking of David...the Old Testament makes it pretty clear that he was chosen by God.
Do not mistake what I am saying. I am NOT saying that I personally believe that Ted was chosen to be the president of the U.S.A., only that God does choose leaders and that doesn’t mean that Ted believes himself to be the second coming.
Am I making a judgment on whether it’s true or not?
No. No I am not.
(Which I must say could well be compared to the Trump-haters on this board who were claiming that Trump saying that he’s against socialized medicine means that he’s for socialized medicine, among many other things. But I digress.)
All I’m doing is offering conjecture at the moment.
This will either be confirmed or fall by the wayside within a few weeks. And we’ll see what happens.
So far I find Cruz’s response to be totally bizarre, but that’s not evidence and so I will keep my peace on whether or not it’s ACTUALLY true until evidence comes out. Or doesn’t, as the case may be.
