Donald Trump has denied any connection to the National Enquirer story released yesterday claiming Ted Cruz has had 5 mistresses:
I have no idea whether or not the cover story about Ted Cruz in this week’s issue of the National Enquirer is true or not, but I had absolutely nothing to do with it, did not know about it, and have not, as yet, read it.
Likewise, I have nothing to do with the National Enquirer and unlike Lyin’ Ted Cruz I do not surround myself with political hacks and henchman and then pretend total innocence. Ted Cruz’s problem with the National Enquirer is his and his alone, and while they were right about O.J. Simpson, John Edwards, and many others, I certainly hope they are not right about Lyin’ Ted Cruz.
I look forward to spending the week in Wisconsin, winning the Republican nomination and ultimately the Presidency in order to Make America Great Again.

But that may not be enough for one of Trump’s earliest, most influential, and enthusiastic supporters, syndicated talk show host Michael Savage.
In a passionate 4-minute monologue, Savage said he had knowledge from a source he would “trust with my life” that the charges in the story were totally false. Savage also noted that he also has been attacked with innuendo over his entire career, and that “it is not pretty to live through this garbage.”
He stated that the Enquirer is run by a close friend of Trump, David Pecker, who flies on Trump’s plane, and that Pecker is behind the Cruz smear. He called on Trump to disavow the story and David Pecker, and threatened to withdraw his support if he doesn’t.

I am betting his source is Jeffery Kuhner from the Washington Times. I just have a hunch about this.
I have told the poster that it was Ben Shales and for some reason it is the same old tired crap we get in response.
Can’t trust the source or I want proof , or I am not stubborn, but who is this person who requested the photo;s when clearly one can see the name has been posted.

I did a google search ob Ben Shales and GQ and all I come up with is Twitter and FR... and a site called: Rebelmouse.

Many Freepers have become idiots. They don't even fall in the neutral group with their own candidate...they go with whatever gossip keeps them in good standing with the ladies at the hair salon

If this is such important news, surely it would be picked up by at least Drudge, or even Ann Coulter, or any anti-Cruz media outlet right there.
Instead, I google “Ben Shales” “GQ”, “Melania” and all I get is Twitter, FR, Rebelmouse and some sites that I have not heard about.

Cruz can have him. Savage is Glenn Beck with funny stories.

Well, it all boils down to :
1) Is Michael Savage’s source a real one or a made up one?
2) If a real one, is the source reliable? ( how much stock do we put on someone who Savage can “trust with his life”?).
You first source again, comes from Twitter. Sorry, that’s not enough, ANYBODY CAN TWEET.
Give me other corroborating sources. CNN, FOX, CBS, NBC, ABC or even a major foreign media.
Man, have you got that right. Trump is smart and street smart. If he even considered putting this story about Cruz having affairs out he's smart enough to know with Ted and Rubio shaking hands at the last debate and being buddies that any story Rubio had been shopping around was as likely a trap as a treasure.
Look at the idiot remarks by people, though. Trump isn't campaigning and it's part of Trump letting this story work or other BS like that when anyone with a brain knows Trump puts his family first and his daughter is due to have a baby any day. "Any day", you really think Trump wants to be in the air to someplace or be campaigning when his grandchild is born?
Not a chance, but Trump staying close to home must have dark implications because the gullible crowd who can't see through Cruz know everything is part of a dark conspiracy to defeat their hero.
Geez, it's amazing to see what passes for rational thought these days when information is right at the fingertips of anyone who lifts a finger to find it.
