Yesterday, as the entire Cuban Mistress Crisis was simmering to a boil, it was discovered that weeks ago a large number of Marco Rubio operatives and supporters were trying to bring the sex scandal story to the MSM attention.
Under the open guise of #TheThing they were communicating via various twitter feeds and following along to see if the story had been picked up. Most of the activity was centered around March 10th March 15th.
Yesterday the hashtag CruzSexScandal went viral. Today, many of those DC operatives, participants, supporters, consultants, Super-PACs and campaign advisors have spent a great deal of time deleting their (The Thing) participation. The peak of their scrubbing coincided with Senator Ted Cruz accusing Donald Trump of planting the story.
Obviously, the Rubio Clan didnt want to see themselves outed as the originating entities.
Virtually everyone in the blog-o-sphere who supported Marco Rubio was active, tweeting, re-tweeting, or following the events related to #TheThing. Now theyre running for cover and trying to hide their fingerprints.
However, interestingly one of the now deleted tweets was from Rick Wilson, who stated the owner of The Thing should just upload it to You Tube and the reporters could discover it there.

Everyone said the Monica story was nothing until the blue dress
Has anybody figured that out yet? What was he saying or trying to say??
It's a reference to a famous vulgar term for using dirty tricks against DemocRATS (hence the "rats" part of the phrase) that RNC operative Donald Segretti used during the Watergate era; Cruz was referencing it to allege similar dirty tricks by former Trump advisor Roger Stone, whom he asserted was involved in promoting the National Enquirer story. (Since Cruz claimed this, more information has surfaced pointing towards Rubio shopping the information months ago, but that is what Cruz's reference meant, anyway.)
We’re really not going to get into a “who has used Jesus more in this campaign” contest, are we? It’s not debatable.
Nate Silver projected way early that Trump did not need to do well in Wisconsin. Nate thought Trump would do poorly here
Everyone said the National Enquirer’s Sarah Palin is on drugs and having an affair story was nothing until it turned out to be nothing.
I’ve seen that interpretation, and I accept it. It doesn’t make the statement any less bizarre, though. The smart lawyer from Harvard should have realized that you don’t counter allegations of sexual misconduct by talking about copulating rats.
And if the story is true you will give him a pass?
Should have said “copulating with rats” which is even worse.
Now I got it. Thanks.
Then we wait for the blue dress. or even more women to come forward
He wants to approve the XL Keystone pipeline (Trump is against that).
NOT true! However, it’s going to take eminent domain to accomplish it, and Trump DID take a bunch of flack regarding eminent domain, didn’t he?
“...even more women to come forward”
Not sure what you mean by that. More women to deny the story? So far exactly two women have come forward, Katrina Pierson and Amanda Carpenter. Both vehemently deny the allegations appearing in the Nat. Enquirer.
What about both Ted Cruz and Amanda Carpenter with matching Winston Churchill temporary tattoos?
Apparently these tattoos are sold only in packs of two. Cruz and Carpenter both wore these tattoos as seen in media on the exact same day — April 1.
WASHINGTON COVERUP! Supreme Court Justice Scalia Murdered By A Hooker
In a bombshell world exclusive, The National ENQUIRER has learned that U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalias death was a highly planned political assassination orchestrated by the CIA and carried out by a $2,000-a-night hooker! A top Washington, D.C. source said the Feb. 13 death of the 79-year-old jurist at a remote Texas ranch just 15 miles from Mexico was part of a shocking conspiracy that tracks back to the CIA and the White House!
I’m not with Cruz at all. Hoping he goes down with Beck. But never trust an April Fools day story.
He was saying “I’m not going to f@ck with him,” without sayin the F word.
One would think that he’d have said something like “I’m not going to screw with him,” or the like.....but this copulate choice was a poor one. Just awkward in my view.
This is not an April fools day story. This is a coincidence that someone recently noticed on Twitter, since the Cruz scandal emerged. This is a new story.
No, it was a reference to ratf-cking, a political term for dirty tricks.
Never mind. I guess it’s possible real news can happen on April 1st. Lol
