I'm trying to figure out his goal. He can't get to 1237 delegates. So staying in the race can only mean he's trying to force a brokered convention by preventing Trump from getting to 1237. However, he's smart enough to know the establishment will nominate Ryan, Romney or Jeb at a brokered convention - never Cruz. So maybe the plan/scene/plot is to reward him with the VP nomination?
No.
I heard a space alien will be the VP nominee.
LOL. No.
I believe he still is deluded into thinking that his new found GOPe ‘friends’ are going to deliver the nomination, assuming they can actually block Trump at the convention.
The fact is, regardless of whether or not this “#cruzsexscandal” is true or not, the GOPe will USE that to force Cruz to the side as ‘damaged goods’ and guess who they’ll turn to to ‘save’ their RINO-elitist asses?
You got it, none other than JEB BUSH.
You heard it here first. But it all depends on IF they can successfully block Trump. I’m betting they can’t.
Killing it on the biggest disappointment for me... He’ll get to 1237 on that for sure..
I think the insiders would like Ryan to be the guy....but it’s hard to see Cruz doing all of this and being the VP. Forget about Jeb, at least three-quarters of the people at the convention will laugh if he’s the guy put on the table.
Once they eliminate Trump they’ll drop Cruz like a two bit hoe.
Nope. If it goes contested, the GOP is going to be stuck with Romney-Ryan again.
Cruz is running to keep delegates from trump and to be cut out by the GOPe at the convention in favor of Willard or some other liberal ...
Paul Ryan also is a bit too comfortable and smug right now...
"The Most Ghastly Politician To Have Ever Run For President."
“He can’t get to 1237 delegates.”
Has Trump reached that point yet? He probably will, but until he does, this is not a done deal yet.
It’s foolish to argue that Cruz should quit now.
No, he’s only staying in because he’s a GOPe tool. A willing participant in their plan to usurp the will of the Republican voters.
I’d like your thoughts on Trump being VP to Cruz?
He’s running with the expectation that his newfound GOPe allies will hand him the nomination on the 2nd or 3rd ballot. He’s got a rude surprise coming if we get a brokered convention. The GOPe will toss him aside like yesterday’s diapers to put in Ryan.
Cruz is running to be President. If he decides to make a deal, I hope he asks for the Supreme Court, not VP.
Yes.
