An Iraqi intelligence official says sources in the Syrian city of Raqqa have told them that the Islamic State group has been planning terrorist attacks in Europe for two months which would "target airports and train stations."
The official tells The Associated Press on Tuesday that Iraqi officials told European countries about the plans "but Brussels was not part of the plans" at the time.

The arrest of Salah Abdeslam simply moved up the time line because media reports that Salah Abdeslam was spilling his guts to the police forced them execute their plans before the police caught up to them

I am really afraid there will be more terrorist attacks real soon, then. If the terrorists ramped-up their timing of the attack in Brussels because they thought Abdeslam would talk, then there might be other attacks they have been planning that they will try as soon as possible. I have no info - it just seems like a possibility.

Perhaps it was linked - only in the sense that his cohorts were afraid he would spill the beans, and they moved-up plans that were already in the works.
Every time a suicide attacker goes on a rampage we should drop multiple “cookie cutter” type munitions on an ISIL stronghold or troop formation in the field, using overlapping areas of effect to cause maximum death and destruction. That or an Arclight style bombing run. No smart weapons, just overwhelming ones.
Disproportionate response is how you deal with these kinds of people.

The attack would have gone on capture or not.
IMO Europe has passed the point of no return unless they get really ballistic and wholesale export a good portion of the Muslims.
That will not happen, Europe is lost. Certainly France and Belgium. And with no borders spread like a roach colony.
If Britain was smart they’d close the Tunnel, both directions.
The question is whether we can prevent the same happening here.
