Washington Posts Karen Attiah sounded the alarms of sorts this afternoon when she Tweeted out the following cryptic message after a meeting with Donald Trump and the WaPo Editorial Board:
As you can see from the user engagement on the Tweet, people were quick to follow up on Attiahs commentary, asking for any clarification on this newly-emerging behavior from the Republican frontrunner.
Then Monday night, Attiah who serves as the Deputy Opinions Editor for the Post released her story with the headline I asked Trump a policy question. Then he called me beautiful.
Attiah mentioned, and transcribed, some of the policy-related conversation that they had with the Republican frontrunner (But do you feel that your messages, your rhetoric, are dangerous and divisive for this country?, seemingly commonplace topics for Trump questioning these days), before detailing the after-meeting exchange she shared with Trump personally:
As the meeting ended and we were walking out of the room, I thanked Trump for taking my question. He turned to me and said, I really hope I answered your question, and added casually with a smile, Beautiful. I was stunned. I didnt say thank you, and I dont think I smiled. He then walked out to meet with my Post colleagues briefly before heading to the elevator. I stayed in the conference room for a few minutes as it sunk in that the potential GOP nominee for president thought it was okay to comment on my appearance. Did he just say that?

Well, he micro-raped her.
“At least he didnt rape her.”
or ask her to kiss it...
Things show no sign of improving. Even back in the sixties and seventies, just saying hello to most women you didn’t know was tantamount to insulting them, from the way they reacted. Once I got married, knowing that days of being treated like an undiscovered rapist were over. There’s a reason some many people live alone now: the opposite sex cannot be pleased.
Even though I am sure she thought he meant her looks, I hate to burst her bubble.
Trump calls everyone he likes beautiful.....INCLUDING HIS SUPPORTERS.
She somehow survived being complimented for her appearance, but it left deep emotional scars.
she’s clearly too weak and emotionally unstable for her job
Hey idiot, get a clue. He did not call you beautiful, he said it was a beautiful thing that you got the answers that you wanted for your interview questions.

interjection
7. wonderful; fantastic:
You got two front-row seats? Beautiful!8. extraordinary; incredible: used ironically:
Your car broke down in the middle of the freeway? Beautiful!
No, no, she's a victim! She simply HAS TO be a victim! It's her RIGHT! She deserves compensation, now and forever!
yes, darlin’ it’s ok for a man to tell you you’re beautiful outside of a bar environment. It used to be called a compliment. Let go of the PC yoke. Get some self-esteem.
Or Trump’s version of “bless your heart.”
He violated her safe ugly space.
The black snowflake assumed he was calling HER beautiful.. Read the transcript. He wasn’t...he didn’t. She assumes her self-effacing stance...what a macaroon.
She sounds like a woman that would kick a man in the crotch if he held open a door for her to enter a building.
Trump was obviously being very generous by calling her beautiful. ...She doesn’t rate that for me.
You in Balimer?
Nope. Where is it?
Bill? He’d hit anything ...
Sexual Harassment can be any comment of a sexual nature which the recipient of the comment finds unwelcome or offensive. Or so I have been told (repeatedly ad nauseaum) ...
So: does she say he made a pass at her? Yes? Then he made a pass at her. By definition. Even if he says he didn't. He's just 'in denial' and needs sensitivity training. Facts don't matter. Only perception matters.
Guess not.
A waitress, dripping “honeys” with her coffee, could be from Baltimore. Of course she would say she is from Balimer.
