Why it’s time for a Trump revolution
NY Post ^ | March 19, 2016 | Michael Goodwin

My friends are worried about me. They insist something is not right and suggest prayer, counseling, even rehab. “Take a break,” they urge. “Get away for a few days and clear your head.”

They are wise and kind, and it would be foolish to dismiss their concerns. Truth be told, there are moments when I doubt myself. Am I making a huge mistake? Am I losing my mind?

Perhaps I am. My friends say that’s the only possible explanation for the fact that I might support Donald Trump for president.

The insanity defense is all that’s left now that the smart set has declared that it’s immoral and indecent to even think about voting for Trump. OK, call me immoral and indecent as well as crazy, because I’m thinking about it.

It’s been a long road to get here. When Trump’s name first popped up, I joked about moving to Canada. When he launched his campaign, I cursed him, certain he was going to create a circus just when Republicans finally had a strong field of candidates.

“Pretty good op-ed by a Democrat.”

I agree - it captures the essence of Trump’s appeal.

I honestly think the Democrats will lose much of their base to Trump in the general, especially if Hillary is the candidate. All those tens of millions of blue collar workers who have been screwed by Obama from day one and “liberated from their jobs” because of Obamacare, or Global Warming, or Illegals, are going to vote for Trump in droves.

“My gut tells me much of the contempt for Trump reflects contempt for his working-class white support. It is one prejudice gentry liberals and gentry conservatives share.”

Until Trump came along , the left thought they had America in an irremovable death grip.

Now with Trump, Americans are remembering who they are..both Democrats and Republicans.

Trump is awakening America, an America that Obama and his minions had put to sleep.

So when one is awakened one can be grumpy, and curse Trump and call him names....but that one will vote for him. These instances have become legion.

From the article :

"For generations, they went all in for the American dream. Their families fought the wars, worked in the factories, taught school, coached Little League and built a middle-class culture. Now they are abandoned and know it.

Nobody speaks for them. The left speaks for the unions, the poor and the nonwhite, even shedding tears for illegal immigrants and rioters and looters. The GOP speaks for the Chamber of Commerce, big business and Wall Street."

That's the bottom line and those who side with the well heeled lawyer/Goldman VP crowd don't give a damn about the middle class any more than the rest of the DC gang of thugs do. They have theirs so Eff' you is the way they see the world.

They have comfortable taxpayer funded jobs whether there's a middle-class left in this country or not.

From the column:

‘A New York Times columnist raised the prospect of assassination. Sure, it was a joke. Make that joke about Obama or Clinton and see who laughs.’

How long does thae tax base support all these comfortable government workers? Because isn’t that what’s happening - our tax base (the middle class) is being destroyed and someday, since we haven’t cut the spending, our debt will explode in our faces.

I suppose if they all have money in foreign places, and I happen to know some of the do, then no biggie - they’ll just leave us with the disaster they made for their own profit.

Can it ever get so bad as a result of what’s been going on that it will all crash?

I hope Cruz supporters right here go through the same thought process.

"Can it ever get so bad as a result of what’s been going on that it will all crash?"

How many of the politicians went hungry during the Great Depression ?

Answer that and you have your answer. The worse it gets here this time, the more there is to sell off to foreign investors who don't have any problem putting their money here and putting fifteen illegal immigrants who work cheap in a two room apartment if that's what it takes to get their profit. That's what the situation was at the start of the Industrial Revolution was in this country and the Nobility sees no reason why it shouldn't be that way again.

Nor will the government have any problem with looking the other way as long as enough tax money rolls in to keep the Nobility in DC living as if there's no problem. It'll be called adjusting to the housing shortage or some such.

Never has so many people hated one man with the exception of Jesus. And I’m not saying Trump is Jesus. Beck has already claimed that for Cruz.

The terrorist Ayres won’t be happy. Trump, as the personification of the American Spirit must be his worst nightmare. We might yet live to see his crimes exposed and punished. America’s wounds will better heal when William Ayres of the Weather Underground is behind bars instead of behind the indoctrination of your children.

“And make no mistake, Donald Trump is leading a political revolution that is long overdue.”

Goodwin is an honest commentator. He’s right on the money in this one.
