Lindsey Graham to host fundraiser for Cruz
Washington Examiner ^ | March 17, 2016 | By Curt Mills

Posted on 03/17/2016 11:41:14 AM PDT by AuntB

Lindsey Graham will host a fundraiser for Ted Cruz next Monday.

While Graham has not formally endorsed Cruz, the fundraiser is a sign that Graham at least prefers Cruz over Donald Trump and John Kasich, something Graham confirmed in a comment to the Washington Examiner.

"He's the best alternative to Donald Trump," he said.

“What did he pick Elliot Abrams for?”

Foreign policy adviser! LOL

Elliott Abrams — CFR and worse...should scare anyone.

More Bush Neo Cons. Abrams was one of the insiders helping the GANG OF EIGHT form their amnesty!!!

His American Enterprise Institute is just another neocon globalist bunch of bunk.

http://blogs.rollcall.com/218/conservatives-expect-immigration-bill-to-move-right/

Abrams is TROUBLE! He is a convicted criminal. He’s the worst kind of open border globalist. Tells us all we need to know about Ted.

[snip]

Crimes and Misdemeanors

Although he entered the Reagan administration scandal-free, he left as a convicted criminal. Abrams, who entered the administration as its human rights chief and in 1985 became assistant secretary of state for inter-American affairs, was indicted by the Iran-Contra special prosecutor for intentionally deceiving Congress about the administration’s role in supporting the Contras, including his own central role in the Iran-Contra arms deal.

The U.S.-backed and organized Contras were spearheading a counterrevolution against the Sandinista government in Nicaragua. Congress had prohibited U.S. government military support for the Contras because of their pattern of human rights abuses. Abrams pleaded guilty to two lesser offenses (including withholding information from Congress) to avoid a trial and a possible jail term.

Abrams and five other Iran-Contra figures were pardoned by President George H.W. Bush on Christmas Eve 1992, shortly before the senior Bush left office.

That won’t help you, Ted. However, something tells me that Ted likes this support that he never had before from his colleagues. It’s human nature to want to be accepted, and now he kind of is by default, but he should remember that the establishment is using him and his campaign is based on being against the establishment.

Ever watched it? It had one of the most stunning indictments of Marxism I’ve ever seen. And I also think a bit of it was a swipe at the gay marriage issue too.

He’s gearing up to send everyone in to the ME to ‘stabilize’ it - i.e., nation-building, Holy War, and theft.

Bush III on steroids.

“Ted has become a member of the GOPe. He is now the establishment and not an outsider.”

More likely, we’re finally finding out the truth about him. If Ted were truly an outsider, the establishment would now be letting him slowly twist in the wind, instead of rushing to his side.

A month ago didn’t he say that if someone shot him no one in the Senate would care? Today he is his best buddy.

Does Trump take fund raising money from David Duke? Or has Duke held a fundraiser for him? I don’t hear Ted telling Graham not to. Trump told Duke to shove his endorsement. Nope, not even remotely equal. I’ve seen quite a bit of moral equivalence and deflection on this thread.

I think Bruce Jenner should attend this fundraiser. He could raise a few issues of his own.

I love how the Trumpsters said Trump couldn't help it if David Duke and the KKK all said they would vote for Trump, but if Graham wants to fund raise for Cruz then Cruz is in bed with the establishment. GEEEEEZ!

Expecting consistency from Trumpkins is a lost cause. If they didn't have double-standards, they wouldn't have any standards at all. For example, Trumpkins constantly attack Cruz for the poison-pill amendments he proposed to the Gang-of-8 bill and for his vote on the Corker Bill. Trumpkins also praise Jeff Sessions to the heavens, while ignoring the fact that Sessions worked hand-in-glove with Cruz on the Gang-of-8 bill and voted for the Corker bill as well.

If someone sees Graham as the lesser of two evils, then that person is a dupe for the GOPe.
