TIME TO DROP OUT? Ted Cruz Needs 87% of Remaining Delegates to Win Nomination

After Super Tuesday 2.0 Donald Trump is on track to secure the Republican nomination.

trump cruz 2

Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) would need 87% of remaining primary voters to win the nomination.
It might be time for Ted Cruz to drop out and endorse Donald J. Trump?

The New York Times reported:

Donald J. Trump’s series of victories on Tuesday extended his delegate lead and forced Senator Marco Rubio of Florida out of the presidential race. Mr. Trump’s path to winning enough delegates to secure the Republican nomination is not assured, but he is in a strong position.

Here are some ways the Republican nominating contest could unfold. Try adjusting the sliders to see how the outcomes change. Each line in the chart represents one possible outcome.

If Mr. Trump maintains his current level of support in the remaining races, he would almost certainly secure the nomination.

After Tuesday’s contests, no other candidate retains a real chance of capturing the delegates required to win the nomination outright. Mr. Rubio dropped out, Gov. John Kasich of Ohio is too far behind, and Senator Ted Cruz of Texas would need to win the vast majority of the remaining delegates — a near impossibility.

Who promised him this? The people that he told to screw off yesterday when he made it clear he won’t kiss McConnell’s arse?

Well, that’s okay. Don’t a lot of Trump supporters want to destroy the GOP anyway?

Yes. They have that in common with the rabid left. Coincidence?

True... ruining Cruz's chances, most likely... and handing Hillary the election, since the GOPe will either nominate a milquetoast, or be pressured into naming Trump... and Trump polls behind Hillary, and Trump performs worse than he polls when it comes time to vote. In 13 states so far, he has seen his lead fall by 6 or more points (KS was 30, ID was 28) after the final poll (usually 1-2 days away from voting day).

Again, the GOPe DOES NOT MIND if Hillary wins!!! The UniParty will survive this massive scare if she wins. Several GOP Congressmen have already said that they would rather have Hillary. They aren't hiding it. Cruz is the only one with a mathematical chance of getting the nomination before July that also polls ahead of Hillary, and also does better on voting day than he does in the polls (winning 8 states so far, when he was only polling ahead in one). These are the facts of the Primary so far. I welcome substantive retorts to these facts. Mpst Trump folks so far have only managed to assemble personal insults and wishful cheerleader thinking. Looking at the actual numbers now that we are halfway done, Trump has a YUGE issue to address, and nobody seems to be able to do so.

That sounds wonderful. Everyone supports the candidate of their choice.

Are you kidding me? Have you NOT been watching the primaries?

Maybe I've been watching the wrong ones. Which ones has Trump been beating Hillary in?

Face the fact Soros is actively helping fund the GOPe Stop Trump agenda. The GOPe is pushing Cruz knowing he has no real world chance of winning the nomination outright or via brokered convention. So Yes Soros is aligned with Cruz and funding the people who are with Cruz to force a Brokered convention where you will get a democrat president.

The one's where Hillary's gotten 15 million votes in her primaries and Trump has gotten 20 million votes.

When Trump loses to Hillary, it will be on his own merits. It will have nothing to do with what is happening now.

And on that day, I will be able to say “I told you so”. It’s not much, but it is something.

Small pleasures will be hard to come by in those days...

“But Cruz has a much better chance of defeating the Democrat than Trump does”

This is so obviously UNTRUE by the very fact of how and why the far left is throwing their full agenda and street thugs at Trump, because they know he WILL defeat the left and win the election.

I hear some idiots on dead-ender Cruzbots on one “conservative” AM show which is gone totally off the farm now, say over and over again, something like “The far left is full throttle attacking Trump and Cruz” - they throw in the Cruz word, but actually I see no evidence of them attacking Cruz, this is a false narrative. They know if Cruz got the nomination he would be massacred in the general election, they would be playing that video in political hit ads against Cruz showing some crazy preacher guy saying “the Bible says all homosexuals should be killed - it is not ME saying that, it is the Bible saying that” and then next Cruz gets up with the guy to accept his endorsement.

This is just ONE of the many political ads they will run, and Cruz will be destroyed. But they are going after Trump because they know he will win and they want to stop him “by any means neccessary” including, IMO, terrorism. For Cruz to give them the benefit of the doubt and then blame Trump for their riots and violence and abuse and disruptions of free elections has proven Cruz UNFIT for the nomination.

The single most disturbing aspect of this guy Cruz .....making victory speeches everytime he loses.

To hear Cruz Tuesday night, HE’S the one on his way to the nomination.

Serial losing has obviously destroyed Cruz/s cognitive brain cells.

Cruz has no path to the nomination. Period.

All your talk about the “Trump ceiling” are meaningless because the votes are counted, and delegates appointed, by state. And there simply aren’t enough Cruz-friendly states left to put Cruz over the top.

If it goes to a contested convention, you WILL get a ticket with Bush or Romney as the nominee.

Good point-—he was in the Senate just 10 months-—then decides to run for president.

Says a lot about his campaign promises to those who believed in him enough to vote for him.

What guarantees we'll see that same result in November?

Are you slow? Kasich is the same as Cruz as far as the Stop Trump agenda of the GOPe. Not one bit of difference in the result since neither is getting the Nomination. Hes a tool, being used by the same people who align with Soros to ensure no conservative gets in the White House.

Absolutely nothing.
But you have to look at the candidates other than Trump and ask “what blue states from 2012 can they flip?”

Cruz would get many of Trump’s delegates on the 2nd ballot, because he’s done the groundwork to get Cruz supporters in place as delegates. So, even though those delegates (most of them) are bound to Trump on the first ballot, they could change over and vote Cruz on the 2nd ballot. In fact, North Carolina delegates are ALL unbound, so they could all vote however they want on the FIRST ballot, even though Trump won the state.

Granted, there could be delegates in other states who are bound to Cruz on the first ballot but would switch to Trump on the 2nd, but Cruz has done much more work on getting his people elected as delegates.

Trump has already named two possible judges for Scalia’s replacement. Both very conservative. Diane Sykes and Tom Pryor.

Try to at least think of something to say that has a grain of credibility.

I was not aware that independent businessmen running for President in a primary had the authority to appoint Supreme Court Justices...

Trump has no record. Yor are going on nothing more than his word. The problem is, Trump is going to say whatever he needs to say to you now in order to seal the deal. Read his damn books!

After Cleveland, he will be working on a different deal.
